Uh, wouldn't there be something more definitive from the Vatican if Kerry has been excommunicated?

I'm a devout Episcopalian but I'm loving the Catholics more every day! This is hilarious.

It's a Rove dirty trick.

He got to the Pope.

Probably promised to get pardons for some priests or something.

:-)

Kerry must be one of those "Dark Clouds" the Pope was talking about.

Knowing how the Church acts, they normally act slowly.

However, the NY Times and Democrats have, in my opinion, really ticked off some folks in the Magisterium of the Church.

Basically, the thing with Archbishop Chaput in Denver was a setup, and then the reported deliberately distorted the views of the Archbishop.

The Church does not take revenge, but moving quickly on this issue will lessen the pressure on the Archdiocese of Denver.

Kerry's Bishop (Sean O'Malley) and Archbishop Chaput are both Capuchins.

If Kerry really was a Catholic, he could have donated money or helped the Archdiocese of Boston find a way to keep the churches open that were closed. But he didn't lift a finger to help what he claims is his church.

He probably will be excommunicated, though this has to go through all the proper channels.

If Kerry is elected President, it might 6 months after the inauguration before he is excommunicated. And perhaps longer.

If the Catholic Church really does this, it will elect Kerry as president. Mark my words. But it won't happen. This is just spam. When was the last time anybody was excommunicated?
