What happens to a priest that gives communion to someone who they know is excommunicated?

Same thing that happens if a non Catholic walks into a Church and takes communion. Obviously the priest will have no idea that this person is a non-Catholic, but since the supplicant is not in a state of communion or grace, then the benificial act of taking communion is voided.
