Dear Mr. Kalajian: Interstate 95 runs both ways, north as well as south. Take advantage of it if you don't like North Carolina. Please. Perhaps a tolerant, non-racist, inclusive city like Boston or Philadelphia would be more to your liking.

I challenge anyone to show me an African-American person with a Confederate Flag bumper sticker or "The South will rise again"
Way to go HK!

Perhaps you have noticed that no one cares what you think.
I suspect this is a reality which permeates your entire life.

I love the Stars and Bars , always have always will.....
Many many good men and proud Americans died under that flag .
It deserves our remembrance and respect as much as the Stars and Stripes.

Puh-leeze! If this twerd asked his Armenian parents how they felt about Greeks and Turks, he'd get an earful of absolutely justifiable HATE, and he wouldn't have to ask how people could look back on their history and wish it had turned out differently.

There are paintings of rainbows on the walls of Sunday school class rooms all across the country. They are there because they are part of God's creation, and they remind us of His promise that he will never destroy the earth again by flood.
There are rainbows on the bumpers of cars all across the country, and they represent a perversion of God's creation of human sexuality.
See the analogy?

Author needs to study a little more history. Russia was the only country ever to enact a law making antisemitism a felony with a penalty of hanging. Who were the preponderance of lawmakers that passed such a law????
Author seems oblivious to the fact that that our constitution was given us mostly by southerners, some were slave holders. Who brought the slaves here and sold them in the south???

If you are going to fly the Stars and BarsThat would be this one - most folks wouldn't recognize it:

It appears that the author should go back and look at his heritage. His name appears to be Iranian or from some other local that is quite close. With the hate that goes on between the Sunis and the Shiites, he probably would do very well to examine those first.
Secondly, to ban the Stars and Bars is to forget history, however bad it is perceived. We as a culture learn from history and to bury it or sweep it under the carpet amounts to the same as the Germans outlawing the Swastika, which they did. The Swastika is becoming more and more visible with each passing day. Look at what is happening to the cemeteries in France.

I'm not weighing in on all of your talking points, but I've seen KKK, Neo Nazi's etc. on T.V. Oftern they are parading with both confederate and U.S. Flags, often just the U.S. Flag, does that mean the U.S. Flag "stands for hate".
Bottom line, War's over, get a life and when you get it do us a favor and take it to the blissful utopia of N.Y.

Note to Peter;
It was busy bodies like yourself that started the civil war.
If the Confederate flag is a symbol of anything it is a symbol of the hatred Southerners have for anything and anyone who doesn't mind their own business.
Well I heard Ol Pete sing about her, I heard Ol Pete put her down. Well I hope Ol Pete will remember, a Southern man don't need him round, anyhow.

I go for the Bonnie Blue Flag myself. Almost no one recognizes it. I have it on my front automobile license plate. More than once I've been asked if I am a general.

His name appears to be Iranian Armenian, although some settled in Iran after over 1,000,000 were massacred by the Turks in 1917-18. He ought to understand "heritage" perfectly!

The confederate flag represent a country the correctly withdrew from the Union and that was attacked and forcefully brought back into the Union. Hundreds of thousand of soldiers died for freedom from northern dominance.
People wrongly call the war between the states, a Civil War. That is a Yankee term. It was a war of northern aggression. A war of independence. A war of freedom and separation.
Grant marched through the south burning, pillaging, and theft of property. The south will never forget its heritage. Symbols and all. FYI, the war wasn't about slavery. That is just a foolish Yankee idea.
