How bout we revoke all monies given to immigrants and funnel it into worthy projects? Like taking care of the soldiers who are trying to take care of us?

So, if the soldiers weren't in Iraq/Afghanistan, their lives would be better financially?

Did anyone notice in this article, that there is no solution? No where to donate, no way to help?
If they cared, they would have somewhere that we could send a check.

Even in the military, you have to live according to your means. We have been military family for over 10 years and the only financial problems we've had are like anyone else's. It does seem like this story is about criticizing Bush more so than helping the families in need.

A lot of military people work 2 jobs. When they are overseas, they have to give up that second job and it can definitely be a burden on a family. It' the same with reserve families. There needs to be a national group that people will know about so they can donate all year long. Especially when there is a war.

The combat pay sucks but all that money being earned in the combat zone is tax free. It's a big chunk that stays in the pocket. I'm surprised that the deployment would affect these people that much.
Probably they are in financial trouble with or without a deployment but the spin on this article is that it's Bush's fault for sending their loved ones to war.

So, some 500 military families come to the Food Locker on base every month for free groceries, donated by stores, the military and the Boy Scouts. So let's see, the groceries are being donated by greedy corporations, the military industrial complex, and an organization noted for it's discrimination.
