FNC - Peggy Noonan on Hannity & Colmes talking about massive fraud in the Battleground States

Posted on 10/19/2004 6:41:54 PM PDT by TBBT

Peggy says it's happening in all the key battleground states and it largely being perpetrated by the Democrats (negating Colmes argument that "well the republican are doing it to, and the Republicans are just trying to suppress the vote.)

She says that the 1996 election may be the last one where we go to be on election night and wake up the next morning knowing who the next president will be.

It COULD backfire if they decided to contest and drag it out and we ended up with riots and civil strife. The Dems could be on the way to creating a civil war over this election (we need to pray for an obvious blow out)

Just my 2 cents.

Said it before -- will say it again -- where is Ashcroft. FBI should have been surveillant in this and making arrests for treason.

"Notice every judge making a very stupid ruling so far has been a CLINTON appointee... just think how bad it would be if you added Kerry judges to the mix."

You must be very young.

I like Peggy,too.

But is it asking too much for just ONE Republican to ask the obvious question: "What's so hard about voting?!" (or registering, for that matter)

By the way, we are tired of seeing your ugly sweaty face and fat body on CSPAN.........leave it, you are out of touch and out of time, just go away!

The Democrats have gotten away with voter fraud for decades. Lyndon Johnson in Texas. Richard Nixon could have protested the Cook County vote in Chicago that gave the election to Kennedy, but for the good of the country, he didn't. Lawton Chiles stole Jeb Bush's first run for Florida governor, but it wasn't protested either.

Maybe Republicans knew it was futile to fight back. Maybe they didn't want to wreck havoc with the voting process after the fact. Maybe they were just timid dumbshits. Different ballgame now. George W. Bush will fight back.

Courts will not withstand the weight of it. In 60 BC, rival Roman politicians were still bribing the voters. The conservatives (e.g. Cato) had joined in, thinking it was the only way to fight back. By 56 BC leading pols negotiated outcomes themselves and used force against those they did not favor. By 43 BC, after years of civil war, leading pols openly published lists of thousands of rivals they wanted killed and rewarded those who did so with cash and public offices. The only stable alternative to deciding who rules by votes is deciding who rules by force. Men who won't obey laws about voting won't defer to judges, either.

Hate to say it, but I am starting to tune Hannity out. I just can't take the format much longer. The screaming and the willful obtuseness is getting to me. There is a big weakness to the so-called "fair and balanced", when "f & b" means I have to listen to war-room talking points shouted over and over.

Sean should try and put together another show, without his sidekick, in which he engages people without shouting. He could still have people on representing both sides of an issue. But he should ban the party flacks, and focus on people who aren't merely going to mouth the party line. I realize, in an election season, its going to be hard to have a reasoned discussion with the usual suspects, so don't invite them on.

I like the panel Hume puts together, the discussion is calm and reasoned, for the most part.

What I really want is "objective". I have abandoned CNN and the rest because I want "objective". Fox makes me pay for objective by making me listen to the same pinheads that dominate the alphabets.

Peggy is my favorite, I could listen to her talk all day.
The rats should not be able to disrupt the election process and just get away with it. How on earth can they be stopped?

I agree....I liked H&C for about the first week I saw it...then I realized it was a big argue fest....

I don't think Rush works on TV, but Rush clearly knows how to entertain and talk to people. Hannity does just shout talking points.

No, wish I was.... just noticed that so far all the judges saying people could vote outside their preceints were all appointed by der-Clinton.
