Love Your Body: Host an 'Indulgence' Party Host an 'indulgence' party: Encourage guests to wear whatever makes them feel good—sweat suits, flip flops, pajamas—and serve delicious, decadent foods or silly snacks without the guilt.

Feel isolated? Your house party is a great time to start a Body Buddy group—a safe place to talk about your body image issues, take walks, climb mountains, shop, play softball, create healthy meals, eat popcorn and watch a video, explore your feelings, paint your nails, paint a picture, or vent.

As your group grows, invite professionals (that you've researched and interviewed) to share ideas with the group. And don't forget to plan for next year's Love Your Body Day!

Have a raffle. Sell chances to win a body-positive prize*—donated from a local merchant, organization, or family member. It can be something hand-made by you or a talented person you know, or maybe a white elephant surprise—something you no longer want that is in good shape. Just make sure it's wrapped and ready to be raffled. Have fun: It can be a squirt gun or a day at an amusement park, a lollipop or a CD (be sure to put it in a big box)!

Donations from local merchants are great for campus and community events. They will help pay for the cost of your event, give the merchant free advertising, and give attendees a chance to win prizes!

* This gathering should be the springboard for a year of self-love. Resolve to work together to maintain positive attitudes toward your body and the bodies of other women.
