I have worked in Silicon Valley for 20+ years watching so-called intellectuals [Venture Capitalists] with MBA's fund streetwise company founders [like George Bush] to make outsize returns for all the stakeholders. So which one is the smarter the intellectual VC or the scrappy founder? I'm tired of this "Bush isn't intellectually curious" talk. I would rather have 20 minutes face-to-face with George W. Bush than Bill Gates, Warren Buffett or Stephen Hawking.

Right on, you have it figure out - I to "would rather have 20 minutes face-to-face with George W. Bush than Bill Gates, Warren Buffett or Stephen Hawking."

You, and me! The man is no dummy------no matter what some half-baked journo has to say. Bush is the first Pres with an MBA from Harvard and undergrad from Yale. (Talk about the best of both worlds!) Just because Bush sees no necessity to couch his beliefs in insincere, unintelligible, pseudo-intellectual mumbo-jumbo, lawyerese, does not mean he is intellectually deficit!
Factually, the purpose of education is to communicate ideas to the most people, the most of the time-------not to impress (or dupe!) with your verbosity! (My family and I call this my Father's theory of "Verbal Economy");.
