What? That people who choose to do evil things shouldn't bear any consequences?

No. Those who are not righteous themselves should not rejoice in seeing people suffer for their sins.

God resents it when people rejoice over seeing their enemies stumble and suffer. This is not good.

I don't rejoice, "Jorge".

For instance, if you raise children, you have to teach them that there are consequences for bad behavior. Then what merit is there in doing good, if your misbehavior doesn't result in any punishment and you a just allowed to get away with it?

You are not judging the person, just the behavior. I would LOVE to see bin-Laden (if he's still alive) making a conversion to Christianity, but sometimes God has to mete out punishment to set someone on the right path FIRST. Look at St Paul.

As far as righteousness, YES, I am a sinner BUT!---I have not MURDERED INTENTIONALLY ANYONE, unlike Yasser and Fidel.

(That's an argument liberals like to use on people to justify anybody's bad behavior.)
