Ummm, ok, now in what part of make belief history was Russia part of the Roman Empire?

As for the EU, the same was said by protestants of the Holy Roman Empire and the Popes. Some even said this of Charlemaign's Empire. There have been many other candidates along that list too. If it's the EU then it's NATO and we're part of NATO, so I guess by your logic it's off to war we go against God.

Europe is well on its way to replacing NATO with an EU Military Alliance. Haven't you been reading all the articles on the decline and possible death of NATO? Indeed, Rumsfeld has admitted this by referring to W. Europe as "Old Europe." NATO is shifting eastward in search of relevance. But in the end, IMHO, NATO will cease to exist.
