Posted on 10/22/2004 9:37:54 PM PDT by eddiebear

Local Bush/Cheney headquarters robbed

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Enquirer

DOWNTOWN - Cincinnati's headquarters for the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign was broken into overnight.

Money and a sign were taken from the office, on Seventh Street near Court Street. The thieves got in by breaking out a window.

The office was also ransacked, officials said. It also houses other Republican organizations.

No one had been arrested.

I saw this on the Cincy Enquirer. This is the 4th or 5h reported case of an attack on a BC04 HQ in thelast 6 weeks. Notice the MSM is not jumping up and down over this.

This type of news gets buried in Cincinnati ... reason being, downtown Cinci. doesn't want to be portrayed as being crime ridden ... sensitive to potential convention business and how the people in the 'burbs feel about visiting downtown.

Seems to me that a retired old Republican like me could camp out there with one of John Kerry's AWB firearms, and shoot the bastards. (I'm one of the old fashioned folks who believe in just plain justice - not 3 years olf Scott and Laci, Kobie, OJ, BJ bull-oney.) That's just me. IMOHO - FWIW.

"Bird Shot" would probably do the trick......Just make sure you tag it before you leave the field.

I'm guessing that conservatives enaged in field dressing Liberals would earn just a little media attention...

Man, this area is Indian Country !! Why the Pubs would have their headquarters this far into the Black No-Man's-Land is beyond me.

I must ask the rhetorical question: Why there...?

Even the cops don't play in that pond unless they are fully staffed -- and with plenty of back-up.

In fact, you don't wander around downtown Cincy at night without good reason -- and quick access to your piece. Simple fact of life !!

Been there; Done that.

Photo's? Surveillance camera's?P>Doubtful, since most local campaign HQs are just rented-out storefronts. When you only plan to be in a location for a few months, you usually don't go out of your way to set up elaborate security.

"Surveillance camera's?"

Yeah, I'm surprised that all B/C headquarters don't have surveillance cammers. I don't know much about them, but I imagine they are cheap these days, considering the dropping prices of all electronic gadgets. We could then get footage of lurch with his hand in the cookie jar.

Money and a sign were taken from the office...

What are Republicans doing with spare change anyway? Everyone knows T-reh-sah has all the loot. Knock over one of her seven mansions...

Same thing just happened in our town:

Flagstaff Republican Headquarters Vandalized
Democrat Anti-Bush Flyer Found at Crime Scene

Flagstaff, AZ – Just one day following an anonymous bomb threat against a Republican Headquarters in Lake Havasu City, the Arizona Republican Party Headquarters in Flagstaff was vandalized. After smashing the front door of the Republican office with a brick, anonymous vandals egged the building. Flagstaff authorities are presently determining if campaign materials are missing. Democrat specific anti-Bush flyers were found at the crime scene.

“The vandalism at our Flagstaff office is another sign of the escalation of the violence against our Arizona Republican campaign operations,” said Bob Fannin, Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party. “Our signs have been systematically defaced with swastikas, offices broken into, and yesterday we received a bomb threat. The Arizona Republican Party will not be intimidated by the politics of hatred in this campaign.”

Yeah, I'm surprised that all B/C headquarters don't have surveillance cammers.

Who says they don't? After the first attack I'd issue the orders to surveillance all of 'em and film them in the act, then broadcast it on national TV and the Internet.

You can be sure the other side would, if they were the ones vandalized.

Let's call this what it is...domestic terrorism.

"Who says they don't? "

I says they don't. If they had footage of these break-ins, it would have been publicised. Golden footage of dem. trolls in ski masks would be great internet video material and would send the message to swing voters of who they're dealing with.
