I lived in a city with a very large Arabic and Muslim population (Windsor, Ontario), and knew many blonde and blue-eyed people of Middle-Eastern origin. There's lots of Middle-eastern people with blonde/blue-eye genes. Arab slave traders bought up a lot of Slavic and European women for the harems of the wealthy. The word "slave" comes from "Slav", the Slavic people of what is now Russia.
