Powerlineblog.org: We Just Got A Tip (Breaking Story on Kerry?)
Powerline ^ | 10/23/04

We just got a tip......that a major newspaper will break a front-page story Monday morning that could create a serious problem for the Kerry campaign. We don't yet have any details, but it relates to a foreign policy issue, and it will call into question--amazingly enough--John Kerry's truthfulness.

We'll watch for the story Sunday night and post it as soon as it becomes available.

Bin Laden has become a nothing IMHO. I mean that in a good way. He has become one of many thugs, instead of THE TOP DOG. I say that because I believe this World War is bigger than bin laden.

If we get him, good. If not, let him rot in a rathole with pigs. Makes no difference to me. But for those who do not believe as I do catching/killing bin laden would be the crowning event.

I look at the President's affect during that first debate. He was pissed. Major league pissed. Enraged. It showed in his face and his speech. I am wondering if it may have been the first time he actually realized the lengths of deceit kerry was capable of.

Lying about matters of National Security knowing full well the President could not correct the record because of security issues. The result is the lies go unanswered and the masses of uniformed think "Mmmm, the President didn't fight back, Kerry must be telling the truth."

Put it this way, the paper has been working on this story for a few weeks now.
But, to be honest--I dont think the mainstream media will run with it. They are to much in love with Kerry.
Hey the dem's were right about one thing--the October surprise...Why do you think they were talking about an October surprise?? They knew the issue would come out days before the election that could potentially kill Kerry's campaign..

Hillary Predicts October Surprise

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton is predicting that this year's presidential election will be very tight and the victor will win because of "something unforeseen."

"It will be very close," the former first lady tells the New York Post's Cindy Adams.

On how the contest will ultimately be decided, Clinton said, "It will be outside forces - something unforeseen that suddenly happens - that tilts the election one way or the other."

Well if it's big enough they can't ignore it, and if it's verifiable, Fox will run with it at least

If I can get the release it will go up on my site this afternoon. I dont have a bunch of lawyers so I cant post it without permission before it hits the newstands. I have been chatting back and forth with one of the editors from the paper this morning. Talk about advertising--I have just started an advertising campaign for my site this week. If i could get this story, forget the paid advertising--my site would be an automatic hit..
Matt Drudge will have it up later today. Maybe 9 pm tonight. If my sis didnt work for the paper, I would take my chances and post it on my site now....

joevberry - can you say whether anyone has 'guessed' correctly earlier in this thread (Tora Bora, Syria, Iran, etc.) without spilling the beans?

Also, it's too bad I don't have anything good to promote business-wise - if traffic to your site does what you say it will - $3000 a year for a banner isn't too bad.

also maybe there will be some leaking tonight around 9 or 10.

Dammit - this is the same time as the last couple of innings of game 2 of the World Series.

Decisions, decisions.

No amount of "Dirt" is going to do it. Like the song says "The battle lines are being drawn..."
The MSM would have us believe that the American voters are more concerned about how "Presidential" Kerry looked during the debates, and the way Bush stumbled over his own words (I know how that feels!). As I speak with people one at a time, that's all that seems to stick in their minds. Truth? What is that? Who cares? "I think it's time for a change." When I ask them "A change to what?" they can't even define it. I look at Kerry and the only thing that's changed in 33 years is that he no longer wears the olive drab shirt that he had. Now it's designer suits. But absolutely nothing in that man's character or being has changed. If anything he's gotten to believe his own lies.
Unless someone shows him selling airline tickets to Bin Laden, I don't think anyone is going to listen to any last minute dirt. It all depends on our turning out to vote and hopefully bringing some friends with us.
What I need help finding is where is Kerry speaking in Boca Raton today? I have a few questions I need to ask him.

Hi Bill. Im charging $3000 to start with since its a new site and we are constantly upgrading and adding to it. I have seen some charge 10 times that amount. I seen one site that charges $5000 per month.

I will say someone was close in the early part of the thread...

I have to disagree with you on that. Hammering Kerry until he is beyond the pale is a requirement. Not every blow will land squarely, but every blow counts. If Kerry's poll numbers drop, stealing the election will become more difficult. The Democrats need to keep a Kerry "win" plausible.

We are in a "Cold Civil War" now. The Left is trying to steal our nation. After Bush wins, a new battle begins: clean out the CIA, set the courts right, and deal with taxes, SS, and (one can hope) even immigration. If the tools of election theft can be degraded enough to be confined to the most rotten of inner city precincts, then a conservative Golden Age will follow. If Kerry "wins," we are back where we were in the '70s.

To be an effect October Surprise, it has to focus on Kerry. This will force him to use the last week of the campaign to address it. I am praying that it will put the final nail in his coffin. Do you think it will?
