I remember estimates before the war that 30% of the conventional explosives in the entire world were in Iraq, in "too many" locations to keep track of.

I believe the figures that our military was estimating for Hussein's ordinance in Iraq was 400,000 tons - yes, TONS ... scattered through over 120 major ammo dumps and many minor ones (like schools) many of which were the size of Manhattan.
