The "Stolen Honor" documentary that the Kerry campaign is trying so hard to suppress consists primarily of narration by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist (and marine) Carlton Sherwood and on-camera testimonies of 17 POWs and two POW wives.
Visit the Stolen Honor website and read the profiles of the men featured in the video. Between them, these 17 men were awarded...
- 2 Medals of Honor
- 26 Silver Stars
- 26 Bronze Stars
- 3 Air Force Crosses
- 23 Distinguished Flying Crosses
- 2 Defense Superior Service Medals
- 26 Purple Hearts
- 55 Air Medals
- 12 Legion of Merits
- 4 Distinguished Service Medals
- 11 Legion of Merits
- Distinguished Flying Award
- 5 Meritorious Service Medals
- Good Conduct Medal
- Navy Commendation Medal
No one has to listen to them, but they have earned the right to speak and not be silenced. Please encourage everyone to see the documentary (now online).
It doesn't matter to most that honored men were defamed and denegrated 30 years ago just to advance John Kerry's political career. It doesn't matter to most that honored men continue to be defamed, again, just to advance John Kerry's political career.
The American people don't seem to care about that. The media won't even ask 1 question about it.
After watching Stolen Honor and hearing from these men and the way they suffered, I wanted to throw up. I was ashamed that any one of my countrymen, which John Kerry shamefully is, could ever lie on the American soldier. I actually felt ill.
I hope that America sees through this charlitan's rhetoric and the MSM's purposeful disregard to asking the simplest of questions: why. Why, Senator Kerry, would you tell lies about honored men and never apologize for your statements and actions, even after you learned that the facts you based those statements and actions on were totally false? Why?
I've seen this film...and after seeing it, I can understand why Kerry doesn't want ANYONE to see it. They don't bash him from a partisan perspective. They bash him for stabbing his comrades-in-arms in the back. They bash him for making the lives of our POWs more excruciating. And most importantly, they bash him for betraying his country.
It's a very moving 45 minutes....
If anyone is interested in how REAL Silver Stars are earned please read this chapter from a book by John A. Crash entitled "Seven Firefights in Vietnam".
Another book that deals with the battle of Lang Vei is "Night of the Silver Stars" by William R, Phillips.
These books were given to me by my husband who is a Vietnam vet.

Some station other than a Sinclair one showed the entire movie - with a so-called "investigative reporter" countering the arguments of the POWs. The reporter was lame but the testimony of the POWs was very powerful. Then they planned to show the "Up the River" (my name for it) pro-Kerry movie. After seeing Stolen Honor, I turned the channel.
It worked for me. The POWs and their wives were very powerful and I sent the link to the video to all my family and friends.
