Great article. I hope it also makes many realize that a two-party system is inherently flawed - too much power is concentrated in those two parties. I'm sure there are many in this country more qualified and capable than the two candidates we have now...and yet those two choices are all we have. Regardless of what you might think, they are more alike than they are different.

No matter who wins, I hope it's not a Pyrrhic victory.

This is a good article but a couple things stand out which mar the author's premise. One - he mentions Ghandi and Ghandi's Judeo-Christian belief of using love to conquer and win the day. Yet, the author cannot bring himself to mention the one man who brought this together - Jesus. For all his logical points, the author cannot bring himself to state that man is not the answer but God is?

The second thing is when he mentions the leaders of his party that need to weed out the undesirables - Carter and Byrd. These two are out-of-touch with the average American much less the average Democrat. One is an ex-Klan member! The author fails to realize that these two are large parts of the problem, which leads me to my last point.

The Democrat party - to me - has always been corrupt. From the very beginning when it stood against the Republican Party and for slavery, it has portrayed itself as standing against the freedom and liberty of all men and women. As some of our "bomb throwers" would say, if they actually told the American people what they really want to do, none of them would hold any political office.
