I bet they've pulled it in favor of a dead opera singer profile with half-dead Morley Safer...

There's always been something about that picture of Kerry that bothers me. Supposedly, he was discharged in 1972. This pic is from 1971. For his hair to have gotten that long, he would have had to have been out of the military for at least 6-12 months. That would mean that he was no longer on active duty, or even active reserves, since sometime in late 1970 to early 1971 at the latest, not 1972, as he claims.

Kerry said in a campaign speech today; 1) Terrorist got their hands on this "missing" 380 tons high explosive.
Analysis: If the "Terrorist" were able to get it just a day after the regime fell the "Terrorist" must have already been there. 2) The "Terrorist" were flooding across the borders. Analysis: Contradiction to previous statement and so what. Isn't over there exactly where we want the terrorist? The more the better. 3) The missing high explosives in the hands of terrorist is a WMD. Analysis: Contradiction, Kerry previously stated there was WMD or Terrorist.
Kerry is now crying over an anticipation that President Bush will ask for $70 billion more dollars for the war. I thought Kerry wouldn't spare any expense to support our troops?

I believe most people get their news on the Internet. Look at Rathergate. It took less than a day for the NYT hit piece to discredited. Now Drudge has reported that CBS was going air this Sunday. The MSM days are numbered.

I suspect they have other stuff up their sleeves. Hopefully as pathetic as this story has turned out to be.

It can't implode fast enough for me. We need to see the implosion on this, like, yesterday. Lots of current talk on it with old information. Kerry's still focusing on it. What is UP?!

He apparently grows hair like the men in my family, lots of it and very fast. If my sons and I don't get our hair cut every 4 weeks, in about 6 weeks, our hair looks like Kerry's did in that picture.

Having said that, no Naval Reserve unit would have allowed him to wear his hair like that.

We have not been told the real story about Kerry after he came home re his reserve time left and his eventual discharge.

According to Drudge, CBS was planning to launch this story on the next 60 minutes program.

If all this seems so confusing (one main stream media debunking another main stream media's story), just remember one thing. Kerry is not suppose to win.

The only way Kerry's campaign makes sense is to understand he is not in this to win, but to weaken the President and by extension the Republican party.

The Democrats are not stupid, misguided perhaps, but not stupid. They know that a liberal senator has little chance in winning a national election. If you look at the most recent history, the Democratic candidate always attempts to move to the center and present himself if not a conservative, at least as a moderate.

Kerry, if anything has moved further to the left. He has had close to thirty years to put his Viet Nam baggage away. A few speeches at a VFW convention where he admited he was wrong would have gone a long way to inoculate him from things such as the Swift Boat Vets ads, but he never did, and in fact he stands by his actions.

Instead of being against the war, he could have tried to be more of a hawk, sure he would have lost some on his extreme left, but would have picked up some of the mushy middle.

But by indicating he would turn over the security of the US to the UN he makes it difficult for some Democrats to vote for him (they may be socialist, but they have families and loved ones, and they understand that the UN can not protect themselves, let alone the US, even if they wanted to, which they don't.)

No, when the history of this election is written, it will be one of motivation, what was the motivation of John Kerry to run?

When the CBS/memogate affair occured a few weeks ago a number of people (including here)indicated it was Karl Rove at work, I laughed it appeared so ludicrous. Now with this one, it would not surprise me if Rove is doing these tricks and I love it. October surprise indeed.

This is the e-mail I just sent to the NY Slimes--

>>Ms. Abramson-

I'm beginning to believe that your paper and CBS NEWS would be better off reporting in the old soviet Union.

Freedom of the press does not mean freedom to lie-to make up stories.

Do you not check facts before publishing articles any longer?

If you had you would have known that your "big" story yesterday about the failure to secure weapons in Iraq was not true.

Unfortunately for you there were imbedded reporters during the push into Iraq, that totally refute your claims.

Gee-one might think you were partisan, and trying to throw the election to John Kerry!<<
