Extended voting hours ordered for election in East Chicago (More vote fraud)

EAST CHICAGO (AP) Residents in East Chicago have an extra hour to vote in today's Democratic mayoral primary. Judge Steven King ordered that all polling places remain open until 8 p-m.

King also ordered that voting continue in Precinct 14 until 9:30 tonight because an inspector assigned to the precinct didn't show up this morning, causing the poll to open late. King indicated in his order that he extended voting hours to prevent the possibility of voters being disenfranchised.

The primary is being rerun after the state Supreme Court threw out last year's results because of widespread corruption. Mayor Robert Pastrick is seeking to finish his ninth term in office. He is being challenged by George Pabey (pa-BAY).

This cr*p is being pulled for a DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY!!! Next week will be worse, I fear. The widespread corruption involved "irregularities" with absentee ballots.

Democrats cheating in Illinois elections is as traditional as eating turkey on Thanksgiving Day. It's nice to see that some traditions never go away.

Chicago is meaningless anyway. It's going to go solidly democrat, no two ways about it. I'm beginning to think all these big cities should be states and allow the surrounding areas and rural areas to be a completely seperate state.

East Chicago is in Indiana. Between Gary and Hammond.

Actually, voting hours have been changed across the nation due to the expected turnout. Republicans are to vote on Tuesday and Democrats vote on Wednesday...pass it on.

It's East Chicago, IN -- the candidates are long-time mayor (and NW Indiana political godfather, now under the watchful eye of the feds) Bob Pastrick, and a newcomer -- both Dems.

There's no way in the world that a Republican will be elected in EC in our lifetimes.

Un Effin' Believable! IThe GOP needs to keep a close eye next week on this ongoing criminal enterprise disguised as an American city, surely the rest of Illinois can't be so liberal, but massive Chicago voter fraud could hand Kerry the state!

You guys have it all wrong. This is EAST CHICAGO ... INDIANA. This has nothing to do with Chicago or Illinois. It is located in Lake County Indiana next to Illinois. It is a Democratic stronghold. One Dem Pol is running against another one.

Wasn't it Chicago in 2000 that wanted to keep precincts open later?
