Adopt a Soldier in Iraq or Afghanistan
Our Troops need our help. We have been hammering John Kerry for being anti-military. NOW is YOUR chance to put actions behind your words and DO something to support our troops.

THIS LINK will take you a website where you can adopt a soldier and send him / her letters of support, a care package full of goodies, Holiday greetings, etc. etc. etc.
Soldiers Email the managers of this site and ask to be adopted. The manager forwards the soldiers contact information to you. You contact the soldier and provide support and encouragement.
Other than voting for Bush, this is most likely the most important thing that you can do to support our troops.
This is going to cost you a few bucks and a little bit of your time, but hay, these guys are protecting our families and freeing a depressed peoples.
Adopt a soldier today!
MODERATOR will you please fix the title to "SHOW"
Thanks.
lol don't you just hate that?
Hey, I like our soldiers as well as the next person but I'm not giving up any of my shoes!
By the way, there are WAY MORE Soldiers asking to be adopted than there are Americans back home showing support and adopting them.
Come on FReepers, adopt one of these guys. I know how it feels to get a care package when you are on the battlefield. It means everything to these Soldiers.
This is hugh!
a "really big shoe"?
It "shoes".
Please send soldiers your care packages. Thank you Viet-Boat-Rider for posting this.
We glove our troops!
Don't be too quick to fix the title. Maybe some of them do need new shoes or boots. Thanks for the thread. I'll do what I can to help.
bttt
I just filled in all of the information and can't wait for the reply! Thanks. I'll make sure our "Adopted Soldier" will be well taken care of come the holidays and throughout the year.
My friend had two sons in Iraq. They both came home this summer. This is the website that started collecting money for air conditioners. I told my friend about the website, and since then her boys have received their air conditioners and each has received 3 pair of boots (soldiers have to buy their own, about $100 per pair). This is a fantastic mother running this website, and truly is very reputable.
BUMP
Shoes are standard issue in the military. I really don't think they need anymore.
Don't joke about it. This is series. ;)
I was just going to ask if we were doing "Ed Sullivan"
Get some rest, sweetie. ;-)
