Yesterday in Pittsurgh, Gov Rendell went to an event congratulate a public school's band for having won some kind of award... even though the guv didn't bother to attend the official band celebration event.

As reported by Jim Quinn in this morning's radio show, Rendell arrived in a Kerry campaign bus, and there was at least one student with an anti-Bush t-shirt and poster, and an adult handing out Dem / Kerry fliers. Rendell's "congradulatory" speech to the band started off by warning about people who don't believe in big goverment, and ended by warning the kids that when they grow up they will not be able to go outside for more than a an hour at a time because of global warming.

Quinn spoke to a school official about it, who assured him it wasn't a political event. To prove it, he 'splained that students could elect to stay in the classroom instead of attending the event, and that they announced as it was starting that it was not a political event.

In Georgia, our public schools are closed for Presidential elections because they use the schools for voting sites. During off year elections schools are still in session.

Can't find the article, but this week in St. Paul, Mn., some public school students were sent home with democrat campaign literature. The school claims it was a mistake.

Please allow me to laugh about that cop-out. To give children such literature and then, being criticized, hopping on the 'mistake' train - it's the oldest lie in the world.

I'm with you! I am so glad my daughter is grown, and we don't have to put up with this crap. If I had a child in public school now, I would tell him/her to get up and walk out if the teachers started their political indoctrination. Then, I would be at school with a lawyer so fast, it would make their heads spin.

I did that a couple of times, sans lawyer, but was able to rally parental support to the point where I was able to get one so-called teacher (raving classroom leftist) FIRED!!! Oh, did the TEACHERS UNION squeal like little pigs!!! That is all it takes -- if the parents would just get off their butts and pay attention to what is happening to their kids in these LIBERAL INDOCTRINATION CAMPS -- it would end. But they don't.

The Boston Herald ran a story about Massholes from the various Unions invading southern New Hampshire. "Cirriculum Day"? Sounds like another High Hack Holy Day. One of my favorite Mass Teacher's Unions story is that the State House and the building where the MTA has its offices are connected via a subteranean tunnel. NO LIE!

I have a niece in her 2nd year at a Jr College that in her 1st year had a Prof that began to spew lib garbage. She listened for a few minutes, then said, "Are you going to try to convert us Republicans to Democrats, or are you going to teach the class?"
The Prof never pulled that again with her in the classroom.
