MINNESOTA: NOT BAD FOR W. [John Hinderaker 10/28 05:55 PM]
President Bush and John Kerry have been more or less neck and neck in Minnesota polls. This is consistent with what the Republican Party's own polling has shown. Today, a new survey by the Humphrey Institute, a poll that has usually favored Democratic candidates, has Bush leading Kerry by three points, 47% to 44%. Among independent voters, Bush leads Kerry by a remarkable 69% to 20% on the issue of fighting terrorism.
The Republican Party and the Bush-Cheney campaign are superbly well-organized in Minnesota. Everyone expects their efforts to turn out the vote to be exemplary. A week or so ago, the Bush-Cheney people sent officials from another state a major swing state that most people put in Kerry's column to Minnesota to study how the Minnesota campaign and party apparatus are organized. It seems a little late in the day for that kind of effort, but here in Minnesota, given the recent poll results and the campaign's confidence in their get-out-the-vote effort, the mood is one of quiet optimism.
lining up like a Midwest sweep except for Wisconsin, I'm afraid it may slip in the end.
Bush will spend part of Monday in Iowa. I think we're taking Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio and Michigan.
Winning Minnesota makes things EXTREMELY DIFFICULT for Kerry.. Even if he wins Ohio, he's in deep trouble without Minnesota.
Others require the title to search on, so that we can avoid posting duplicates.
Actually.. I'd rate Wisconsin a better chance at being red than Iowa..
I pray this is so, I just heard that lying union scumbag Hoffa on the tube saying him and the thugs will make sure Minnesota goes to Kerry.
Why "falling" in the Bush camp? "Falling" is subliminal RAT message, which (like RAT plague) should never be spread. How about "ascending" or "joining"?
Bush can lose New Hampshire AND Ohio and still win this election with Minnesota and New Mexico (269-269).
Not to even mention that he leads in Iowa and Wisconsin right now.
Every way I look at it, Kerry is in deep trouble. There are SOOOO many ways Bush can win with or without Ohio, and Kerry MUST win Ohio as well as a bunch of other states he's losing in.
Gee, sorry. I never knew that before. Mea culpa. Learn something every day.
Good point.
If FL and OH go for "W", he wins! No doubt about it!!!
Save all your artistic expression for the comments section or parentheses in the titles. It is rude not to. We end up with a bunch of the same articles posted because some people can't follow the rules.
I think I apologized. Now chill.
Up in the Red River Valley (Fargo / Moorhead) the W campaign is running "Kerry votes against sugar" adverts. that are quite effective. Very local issue, devastating to Kerry. This will turn out local conservatives and fence sitters.
Your apology wasn't up when I started to post and you have been here for years and know better.
No, dude, you chill. The rules have changed a GREAT DEAL since I first came here, when you posted any article with whatever title you wanted. This is the first I've heard of it. Now move on to issues.
NRO says that the snowmobile/logging commercials are really hurting Kerry? Is that accurate?
No, dude, you chill.
Looks like it might be needed if the troubling signs in Ohio come to fruition.
