Mr. Kerry, I am America's child. Some day, very soon, you'll be able to see the color of my eyes. You'll be able to look at me and see if I am a boy or a girl. You will be able to see for yourself what color my hair is. Right now, though, I am being made in a secret place. Very complicated instructions are already in my DNA. I am only a single cell. But I already have all the DNA I will ever need. It will decide how tall I will be, what race I will be, what color hair I will have, what color my eyes will be, and even what sex I am. They want to take me apart and use me so others can live. But I am already living right now! Mr. Kerry, someone is trying to kill me! Please don't let me die!
Mr. Kerry, I have been growing quietly for three weeks. Can you hear it? It's my heart beating! This wonderful heart will keep beating until I am born. This heart will keep beating until I die. Do you feel anything in your heart for me? My mother says she isn't ready to have a child right now. But she already has one! Mr. Kerry, someone is trying to kill me! Please don't let me die!
Mr. Kerry, I am bigger now. I have been growing for six weeks. My brain is starting to wake up. This wonderful brain is already alive with brain waves! This wonderful brain will continue to grow. Some day, I will be able to think, learn, ask questions, wonder about things, love, cry, be afraid, and laugh, just like you can. Am I safe in your hands, mr. Kerry? Someone is trying to kill me! Please don't let me die!
Six more weeks have gone by. I have very tiny fingers. These fingers even have fingerprints! Some day, my thumb print will go on my driver's license! Nobody else has fingerprints just like mine! I will have these fingerprints for the rest of my life. You can even see my fingernails and my toenails. My toes and fingers are wiggling. My spine is sending lots of messages from my brain to my tiny wiggling body. If you are president, will there be a place for me? Mr. Kerry, someone is trying to kill me! Please don't let me die!
Mr. Kerry, I have been growing for about two-hundred days. My lungs are almost ready to breathe that wonderful fresh air. I have a whole lifetime ahead of me. I can use that lifetime to do all sorts of incredible things! Something's wrong! The doctor is pulling my feet out first. I am in pain! Something sharp is going through the back of my head! I am thrashing around trying to get away! The doctor said something about the health of my mother. If mommy was in trouble, why didn't they just let me be born and then help her? It would have only taken a few seconds! Someone stuck a vacuum cleaner in my head! They're going to suck my brain out! I stopped wiggling. Well, mr. Kerry, someone tried to kill me, and at last they succeeded! Did you do anything to stop them?
Mr. Kerry, I was America's child. There are millions and millions more just like me! Mr. Kerry, a dead baby is not an "article of faith!" A dead baby is a fact! You know the old song all too well: "How many deaths will it take til he knows, that too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind, the answer is blowing in the wind!" Mr. Kerry, the answer is in the unheard cries of a baby.

Absolutely beautiful! It would have taken away from the beauty of it, but he could have added, Mr. Kerry someday I will be able to vote, please don't let me die. Sometimes I wonder if the liberals are too stupid to realize that with abortion and homosexuality they are killing off their base?
