I wish Bin Laden were dead or in custody, but this tape will provide a boost for Bush. The new video should receive extensive coverage over the weekend. Focusing on terrorism helps Bush.
But remember, the threat of another 9/11 plays right into the president's hands...who would want to change CIC when this may be hanging over our heads? remember the President is up like 20 points on the "who would handle the war on terror better" polls.
I'm glad I early voted.

12:35 PDT CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- The Arab television station Al-Jazeera said Friday it would broadcast a tape from al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden on an evening newscast.
Al-Jazeera said the tape deals with the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States and their consequences. While the announcer said the message was an audiotape, the station's Web site called it a video.
The Qatari-based channel did not say how it had received the tape nor how it had concluded that it was authentic.
The channel has previously received audio- and videotapes from people linked to al-Qaida.
Or maybe, under John Edwards new health plan initiative, he has gotten out of that wheelchair in the cave and he can walk again.
This isn't terrific news. I thought Osama was dead. He is still alive, plotting and planning to kill Americans. This is terrible news for America.

There was a police car outside my polling place (which is two blocks up from my house) this morning at 7:30am.
And there was another about 5 blocks away just sitting there too.
I think the terror alert has been raised but no one's been told about it.
I think this just says AQ has no faith in their candidate, either.
Bret said there was a threat of attack around the elections. I really thought he was dead. I gotta tell you, first I am terrified, second I hope that no matter what the election goes through. This may sound stupid but Drudge was reporting that the pre-election voting was going for Kerry. They have to finish the vote no matter what.
I just pray that God keeps us safe and especially President Bush, we need him more that ever, now.
