That's right. Don't address the issues. Just attack me personally.

>>>>I have no respect WHATSOEVER for you Arnold haters.

I don't care. If you're dumb enough to support and vote for Arnold, you're a sell-out to the conservative ideals of the GOP. And I don't hate Arnold. I oppose his liberal politics.

>>>>Especially ones who co-opt a fine man's name for their moniker.

I've got news for ya. Ronald Reagan would never have supported Arnold Schwarzenegger for any public office. The politics of both men are at complete odds. Reagan was a conservative. Arnold is a liberal.

Just got home from the rally, and then a nice dinner out. What a night! My hands are still sore from clapping. We sat in the "cheap seats" and had trouble hearing. We were off axis of the speakers, but should have been able to hear it better than we did. Anyone else have that problem? Minor complaint about a great event.

Some kids were chanting "Kerry is Scary" on the way to the car. That was amusing.

I did see one protester inside the arena, minutes before the end of the President's speech. He was holding up a Kerry/Edwards sign as he walked down the stairs to the exit. Surprisingly, he didn't heckle the president, or make a scene. I wish everybody would have ignored him, but a few people yelled at him. It wasn't much of a distraction.

The enthusiasm of the audience was amazing. You can tell a lot about a crowd, by how loud they say the pledge of allegiance. Tonight, the crowd was loud and proud.

I made my heartfelt comments in 938.

If I have to slap down miserable old coots like you, then so be it.

"I've got news for ya. Ronald Reagan would never have supported Arnold Schwarzenegger for any public office."

You are you to presume that? Reagan talked about an 11th commandment as I recall. One that you have NEVER respected.

Here we go again.

Reagan's 11th commandment was actually something created by California GOP Chairman Gaylord Parkinson in 1966. Reagan said, "It's a rule I followed during that campaign and have ever since." It's not a rule that Reagan imposed on anyone else but himself and for good reason. Besides, Reagan never meant for that slogan to apply to liberals. Even liberals who have an "R" next to their name. That includes liberals like Scwarzenegger and Rudi Giuliani.

Oh, I see. It was good enough for him but not for you.

Unless you're a liberal, you've got nothing to worry about from me.

'I caught Chrissy Matthews while changing channels. Did anyone besides me who saw him think he looked and sounded sedated?

He didn't seem to be spitting or shouting for the few seconds I saw him.'

He's not sedated. He's resigned.

'My gawd, Arnold is G-O-O-D. Very good.'

I hear he likes Phil Collins songs.

"I've been waiting for this moment (moment) all of my life."

I missed nothing. Reagan had a personal rule that he wouldn't criticize other Republicans. Fine. I see no reason that rule should be applied to me, or anyone else. Especially not liberals. Hope that clarifies things for ya.

OK, this is where I came into this discussion.

You were saying:

"I've got news for ya. Ronald Reagan would never have supported Arnold Schwarzenegger for any public office.

It's one thing when you speak for youself. It's quite another when you presume to put words into the late President's mouth.

I was making a point. The same point I always make when it comes to Reagan's politics. Reagan wouldn't have supported Arnold. Reagan was a social and fiscal conservative and had nothing but disdain for the liberal philosophy and ideology that he ran against in the 60`s, 70`s and 80`s. The truth is, Reagan took many Republicans to task during his political career. Reagan said some harsh things about Gerald Ford during the 1976 GOP primaries. Once he was elected President, Reagan found no time for such trivial pursuits.

I generally do not criticize Republicans. I do make an exception with liberal Republicans like Arnold. If you don't like that, too bad.
