Here's what the etched bullet looks like, googled from "PoliceOne.com" on a search for Ravensforge.

"1,2345"? Ha, ha! There will have to be enough digits to accommodate those billions of bullets per year, for decades to come.

Unless they ban reloading and corbin swages it's a moot point. I make my own .224 (.223) projos with expended .22 rimfire brass. My 45 loads are jacketed custom hollowpoints I make in the same fashion or cast from gang molds and a few dillon 550B's and other tools of democracy.

I hopefully won't ever see an etched bullet in my lifetime. Not that it bothers me .....too much.... The up side is it proves my rounds were accurate and didn't kill anyone but who I was aiming at.

My favorite ammo these days is the frangable "green" ammo that we use on steel plates. They have to be really dedicated CSI watchers to get lands and grooves off of dust IMO.

If the goobers mandate such it'll be range ammo and my old stuff will be carry...... If kerry wins it's all a moot point as we'll be using anything we can find, much less buy......

Stay safe !
