To: Knitting A Conundrum

I just had some banana nut bread. I knew I was to fast today November 1st.... Is it okay to do a fast after I ate something?

Yes, fast by giving up lunch...or giving up meat or some other thing you really, really like...

The catholic guidelines are 1 regular meal, then two small meals that don't equal a regular meal in size...

Of course, if you have dietary problems, you have to work within the scope of them...

Bread and water is considered by many to be the best fast...it's easier in some ways to do a bread and water fast and harder in other ways...

The concept is, "God, I will deny myself for you, in repentance and perhaps in penance."

Some things cannot be cast out without prayer and fasting...and in Jonah, it saved Ninevah...May our prayer and fasting save the US....
