Compare that GOP confidence to the Kerry campaing insider's "leak" to an AP reporter today (Ron Fornier) saying their internal polls showed a Bush lead and a general momentum in Bush's direction. Why would a campaign operative leak such a story?

Here's a thread about the Kerry insider saying to an AP reporter that their internals show Bush leading and gaining momentum.

I meant to put a "?" after Ron Fornier. I simply read this in the AP article. Another poster on another thread said they read it in a Fornier report. The two may be the same.
