It did look like he was lip synching to me as well.

I don't understand why Eminem would have to do that, unless he wanted to create controversy and get his name and Anti-Bush song in the news. It's not like he's actually singing or something. We know he can rap.

I've always thought that "Rap Music" was an oxymoron...Rap is Rap - but it ain't music.

It's wierd because He's actually really on live. Maybe NBC wanted to censor him so his didn't say F**K Bush on live TV and embarras "the cause".

I noticed the lip sync ... or rather the lip sync flub.

It is my guess that it was done on purpose as a joke. they were baiting the viewers. Other parts of SNL made jokes of Ashley's lip sync flub.

He wouldn't have to, he can do live exactly what he did on recordings, unlike some lip sync-ers. It was probably to get more attention... their was a zotted post saying this was because of the Patriot Act. "I, oppressed Eminem, had to lip sync because of the Patriot Act..."

Not a very good anti-Bush argument, as Kerry supports the Patriot Act too.

Nobody actually likes rap, they just feel obligated.

M&M cannot sing in the shower [not that I would know]

He's actually really on live.

Actually SNL is taped live earlier in the evening. That gives the producers an opportunity to "bleep" if necessary for broadcast. No excuse for M&M.

His third song wasn't lipsynced. Only "Mosh", his anti-Bush tirade. NBC didn't want him to yell "F**K Bush" at the end. Remember that he hald up a sigbn that said "VOTE" with an especially angry look on his face.

End of story.

What I meant by really on, should have said really "on". He's good live usually. By good I mean not a "studio artist" that only sonds good in the studio.

The opinion of scum scraped from the bottom of my shoe is more valid than the opinion of a no talent trash talking idiot like Marshall Mathers.

Rap is for idiots, generated by idiots. Talk with hand gestures, with your pants pulled down around your knees.

Because you can't sing worth anything.

I don't understand why people would intentionally buy and play such poop.

I was about to say it sucks, but it doesn't suck.

It is, however, POOP.

I can honestly say I have never had the occasion to listen to a single thing Eminem has ever produced. :)

I've seen the video of the song MOSH, IMHO, it's a disturbing video.

Yeah, it get's around to be a pro-vote video by the end, but overall, it seems like a call to anarchy.

Back in the day one of the cool things about that show was to see good bands perform live. Now, one can see neither.

I like PJ O'Rourke's description of rap music: along the lines of young men yelling obscenties at each other, while throwing garbage cans and cats down a set of stairs

What I find interesting is when (in animated music video) he marches into the White House with his army of black hoodie garbed minions (the one in cammo pants is a soldier named Kelly, who on his homecoming, receives orders to report to Iraq), with a tie. Methinks a touch of "I should be the most powerful man on the planet", perhaps. Its all part of the show, so its difficult to say what he really thinks based on "Mosh".
