Zell Miller answered all of 60 minutes questions at the republican convention. Why don't they just replay his speech.

After the election we need to target See-BS on a grand scale both National and local affiliates.

Why wait until after the election?

No doubt to cause the GOP to lose the Congress. Because the Rats are well known for being pro military. And I'm sure they used the Oregon Nat'l Guard on accident, that wasn't done because OR is something of a Swing State?

Is it unusual that they would use Oregon just like Michael Moore did in F 911? This is just so disgusting.

CBS 60 MInute Hit Piece Just Over in Columbus, Ohio. Saying men do not have armored Hummers. They alluded the Bush did not prepare for insurgents and that is why no armored Hummers. However, they fall to point out that enough vehicles were not even in production when war statred. I bet you they make no mention to Clinton's Defense Cuts in the 1990's that were supported by John Kerry.

HARDLY ANYONE IN MY SUBDIVISION WATCHING SINCE THEY ARE OUTSIDE PASSING OUT CANDY. THIS PIECE FELL FLAT. CBS IS SUCH A JOKE TO EVEN PUT THIS ON!!

You should read about the flimsy equipment that the men in the Pacific Theatre had! It just goes to show that we need to be prepared for war at all times. It isn't as if war is something on the calendar for a date certain and if our troops are doing without it is because of Clinton and SKerry.

They are blaming "War planners" who do you suspect they mean? They are blaming the GOP, who does that affect on the eve of the election?

Why no mention of Kerry and Edwards votes against body armor and Up armored humvees? Isn't that relevant??

60 Minutes just started on the East Coast. Is there any sign of SeeBS's last attempt at an October Surprise?

I stopped watching any and all CBS 20 years ago. The only "October surprise" it could possibly offer is still being on the air.

The more the MSM plays up the under-equipped military...

The more Zel Miller's speech resonates with America...

Kerry voted against... voted against... voted against...

They said a lot of the looting of the defense budget was
for porkbarrel spending by Congress. Of course, McCain
blamed tax cuts which *caused* the feckless Congress to
live in a fantasyland. It would be interesting to know
which ones looted the defense budget for Iraq to fund their
porkbarrel projects. Of course, the Dems don't do that
sort of thing . . .

I'll never vote for McCain either. He is a fool to think that the Libs are doing anything other than using him.

I'm not a vet, just an Air Force brat (both my parents were military) and an amateur historian. Vets, help me out: has there ever been a time when the military was not plagued by shortages of one kind or another?

As any reputable vet will tell you, the military NEVER has everything they want. Most of the time they have everything they NEED though. Look, the thing that bothers me most about all this nay-saying is that virtually NONE of the reporters have had any experience in the military. To them, leading their protected lives not having dinner one or two nights is nearly criminal - to a Marine, it's just motivation to get the mission accomplished faster.

If these sanctimonious folks were really supporting the troops they would lay off criticizing the Commander in Chief - whom these troops love.

McCain is a freaking joke. I have no use for the near Democrat. He will put down Republicans despite the anti-military Democrats. He does this BS to gain favor with the Press. He is either a megalomaniac or just to stupid to understand his mouth hurts the defense budget by helping elect Democrats.

Except in the closing monologue, they didn't mention Bush or anyone in his administration either.

60 Minutes is suggesting that armored HumVees could be safer from IEDs and that the President is responsible for the death of Troops because Congress failed to authorize armor for their vehicles. Hey CBS, Congress allocates the funds.

Look at what an IED did to one of our armored tanks last year!

The 60 Minutes report is complete BS!

Seems I have some memory of Clinton initiating some of
the *new* lightweight tanks into the military, and some
commanders and old military men at that time did not think
it was a good thing because they were too lightweight.

My question, WHICH tanks specificly did Clinton's
bunch order to replace older, heavier tanks? and can you
follow the campaign debts owed by Clinton which might
explain the puzzling lightweight tank initiation, as
relates to defense contracts?

I may be ill informed here, but I can't help but wonder.
President Bush wouldn't have been able to completely scrap
any lightweights Clinton imposed in his 8 yrs. and replace
the entire fleet of tanks easily could he?
