Yes, it's a hit piece. I can't watch it screaming at the TV and losing my voice. I will bet a nano-second that they NEVER mention the reason for not enough equipment...THE DEMS DECIMATING THE MILITARY FOR THE LAST DECADE, cutting funding, weapons systems, enlistment, bases. B*ST*RDS!
I'm not a vet, just an Air Force brat (both my parents were military) and an amateur historian. Vets, help me out: has there ever been a time when the military was not plagued by shortages of one kind or another?
They are blaming the Bush Administration for the unarmored HumVees.

After Clinton gutted the military, and Kerry voted against funding for the military equipment, what does CBS expect? But they don't mention that.
Now they have McCain on saying we cut taxes and no one cares.

All anyone has to do is look at the last decade of what the liberals did in congress with regard to funding for various military items.
McCain will never get my vote. I will vote for Kerry before I'll vote for McCain. Johnny Media's complicity in this late hit is just disgraceful!!

Not completely true. They are blaming the Pentagon for wasting money on pork projects. As much as I hate to agree with them, the pork projects they mentioned should be cut.
Actually, they are highlighting porkbarrel defense bills from Congress at the moment (jogging tracks and other nonmilitary projects hidden in defense apropriations.)
Johnny Media used Kerry's taling point. As far as I'm concerned, Johnny Media is worse than Kerry.

CBS has a very dire reputation. Their bias is well known and even publicized. No one that isn't already an ardent Kerry supporter will be shocked by this and I strongly believe that anyone who is watching this and is in the so-called middle will have also seen the debates where Bush hammered repeatedly at how Kerry had voted against the suplimental. I don't think of this as a hit-piece well executed but rather something that can easily backside Kerry as well with the common thinking man. Will the media represent this angle? Of course not but people still KNOW.
