The BBC has sure changed from a respected news source to an all out shill for Muslim extremists, yet they have the nerve to lecture American news organisations (who leans so far left they need a tether strap to keep them from falling off the cliff) about how conservative they are.

They'll play AC/DC at his funeral because his unrelenting journey is a "Highway to Hell."

The BBC's Barbara Plett emotes:

In quieter moments since I have asked myself, why the sudden surge of emotion?

Er, because you're a particularly gauzy, vacant-skulled female who finds in Arafat the Hell's Angels gang leader of your dreams? Because you are a walking, talking, weeping advertisement for Dr Olesen's Stockholm-Syndrome Clinic? Because you are, rather like Arafat his ownself, no damn use at all?

Merciful God, deliver us from the boobs at the Beeb.

Foreign journalists seemed much more excited about Mr Arafat's fate than anyone in Ramallah.

We hovered around the gate to his compound, swarming around the Palestinian officials who drove by, poking our microphones through their dark, half-open windows.

But where were the people, I wondered, the mass demonstrations of solidarity, the frantic expressions of concern?

.....There was his triumphant return to the Gaza Strip in 1994, when the Oslo Peace Accords appeared to open the window to a Palestinian state. Tens of thousands of people cheered his arrival; they were even hanging from the trees!

Compare that to the few hundred loyalists who came out to watch him leave the West Bank on Friday, waving and calling out one of his favourite sayings: the mountain cannot be shaken by the wind.

Little Ms. Radical Chic is inadvertently telling the real story in spite of herself. The Palis are silently grateful to be rid of him at last and no, he will not be allowed back, but it won't be Sharon deciding this.

Despite his obvious failings - his use of corruption, his ambivalence towards violence, his autocratic way of ruling - no one could accuse him of cowardice.

Oh?

A fan of "martyrdom," strictly for others, who will die old, of natural causes, and in bed.

Can't wait till Arafat croaks. He's a terrorist thug...and should never have been allowed to receive medical treatment or to leave his compound. That's like saying we should feel sorry for Osama Bin Laden if he were on his death bed...The Eurotrash media (e.g., BBC) is a bunch of pathetic, mediocre, terrorist-supporting journalists. This is article is evidence of that.
