Terri's Law was so the feeding tube would be re-inserted to save Terri's life. Judge W. Douglas Baird declared Terri's Law unconstitutional and also denied Governor Bush due process. Terri's husband sued Governor Bush re: Terri's Law but Judge Baird didn't allow Jeb as a defendant to take discovery, gather evidence or to have a trial. Judge Baird denied Governor Bush due process rights here in Pinellas County in Schiavo v. Bush (re: Terri's Law).

I looking at it as a legal issue because I'm a lawyer. I read the decision, but I can't remember if they declared the law completely unconstitutional or just as to Terri's case. If their logic was that the legislature cannot affect a pending case, then I don't see why they should declare the law completely unconstitutional--unless of course the law only applied to Terri to begin with.
