TUESDAY, Nov. 2, 2004, 8:07 a.m. Police blotter: Slashed tires and spitting
The tires of at least 30 cars and vans rented by the Republican Party to carry voters to the polls were slashed, Milwaukee police said this morning. The discovery was made at 6:30 a.m., said Sgt. Mark Wroblewski.
The rental cars were parked near a GOP office in the 7100 block of W. Capitol Dr. Wroblewski said "at least" 30 cars were disabled. At least one tire was slashed and in some cases, all four tires were cut. Detectives were on the scene, the sergeant said. Police had no suspects in custody as of 8 a.m.
How come I am never around when this happens? I'd pick off the baddies one by one - divide them and then gleefully hit them with my trusty blackjack, then call the authorities after I have subdued them 1 by 1.
Some Republican in charge of those busses/cars goofed.

etc. Yes, it's happened here more than once in Northern Illinois!

The tires on our Vespa were slashed TWICE! We went through 4 tires in 2 weeks. (Brooklyn, NY) No stickers on the Vespa. Just a US flag. This was during the RNC convention.
Good point. I posted w/o thinking. Should have said "oh how I wish there were real penalties for these criminals".
The local Victory 2004 office has been overwhelmed with offers to use private vehicles for rides to the polls. They have said they have plenty of transports but are asking people to come in to make GOTV calls.
Just fraud, lying, stealing, little things like that.

I was reading an article on the gangs of NY, and the author pointed out that the gangs were closely allied with the political parties and that it was difficult to tell where the gangs left off and the parties started. It appears to still be the same with the Democrats of today.
