Long lines, steady traffic, on and off rain and celebrity sightings at the polls in middle TN.

Voted in Williamson County. Short lines as over half the heavily Republican county voted early.

Voted for Marsha Blackburn who is running unopposed for Congress.

Handywife always votes at our Germantown, Tennessee very pro Bush precinct at about 10am. It’s usually a 15 minute wait for presidential elections. This year she waited over an hour in the rain to vote for W. I waited 90 minutes to early vote.

Last month, my wife went to Kroger and found a table set up with two people registering people to vote. Curious, she went up to the table and talked to them a bit. The eldest, a lady, when asked if they worked for kerry, said, “yes, but, of course, not now.” The younger, a man, cast his eyes down and looked somewhat nonplussed.

They didn’t require any ID – if you could write your name and some alleged SS#, they would sign you up.

democrats. Feh!

Voted for W about 11:30 in west Knoxville. Took all of 15 minutes . . . light turnout at that time, lots of kerry stickers in the parking lot.

I am hoping we can take the TN Senate and at the very least make them sweat in the TN House.
