How can the side that aligns itself more closely to conservatism win?

This next four years is vitally important. More important than ever, is our duty to make sure conservatism is represented in the best possible light.
When the next four years is up, we must have carried out policies and explained our values so that never again will leftists approach a break even with us in the polls.
We will only achieve this through wholesome values. All that the democrats employed did not work for them. Let us forsake forever the pandering of big government programs, big government education boondoggles, throwing more good money after bad.
It's time to revert to solid moral stands on all issues. We don't need to carry it to the point of self-destruction, but it is vitally clear, that the American public can still see moral policy, and support it.
More than ever, it is our duty to carry out moral policy and explain why, so that it is recognized as the high moral ground. In so doing, we will assure a bright future for conservatism and men we can support.

I've just been watching Charlie Rose, Bill Moyers, David Halberstam, and a few others bloviate about the results. What breath-taking arrogance on display. They are upset and in some cases confused by what happened tonight and they DO NOT LIKE IT.

I also left out the evening news, the talking head programs and leftist comedians that trash wholesome values and our ideals five nights per week.
In the year 2000, I voted for a presidential candidate other than Bush. This was my first vote for someone other than a Republican. It was my assessment that while Bush would be better than Gore, he lacked a number of values that I required. Not the least of those values, was the ability to conduct sound enough policy to gain re-election.
I don't say this out of spite or with any malice at all, but if 09/11 hadn't happened, Bush would not have won this election. We would have had John Kerry for President, and he would have taken this nation as far down the road toward world government as he possibly could in four years.
We dodged the bullet, but we will not be so lucky in 2008, if we do not get back to the basics now.
Bush already won Ohio.

Yes, I wish they would. Bush needs to be out front of this by morning or it's going to get ugly all over again.
