BTW, i work 1/4 mile from the Kerry rally site, last night there were some sad faces there. At ten my wife and I went to a bar in Harvard square. teh last time I saw faces that long, the Kerry daughters were being interviewed.

I could help but blurt out to the TV "I see a lot of red up there" in mock frustration.

One Harvardy type guy thought I was serious he turned to me and said, "we need the neo-cons out end this isolationism".

I hear ya buddy... loud and clear.

"I don't understand why poor people (aka middle class people from Ohio) constantly vote republican".

We're not poor, just middle class. Maybe they should come for a visit and find out what makes us they way we are. The things we value, our children, our families, our freedom. I live in Hilliard (the west side of Columbus). I can get in my car, drive fifteen minutes and be in the center of Columbus, enjoy all the trappings of urbania. I can walk out my back door and in ten minutes, I am standing in the middle of a corn field. I can drive 50 mile to the south and enjoy a full day of mountainbiking. I can drive two hours to the north and enjoy a week's vacation on Lake Erie. The best part of all of this is that, I can do all of this with my wife and daughter and feel safe and welcomed when I do any of it. It's not about the money. The money is nice and it can get you lots of stuff. But, as they say, it can't buy you love. My family, friends neighbors and community, I love them all.

We vote to protect what we love!

I teach..and today at school, there were plenty that were upset and mad...at one point, a friend said...
That's it...our founding fathers would be so upset..there goes separation of church and state

and I said sarcastcally..
Yeah...those darn Christians. I guess you should work on taking away their right to vote...that's something the Founding Fathers would agree with, right?

How about cuz the Kerrys pay a smaller precentage of their income in taxes than we do? How's that for starters?!

The same people waved a piece of paper and declared "Peace in our Time".
