Vanity: It's a 'Sad' day at the Boston Ad Agency where I work. Quotes from the disenfranchised.

I swear, I am the only person here who voted for Bush, at least in my department. It is actually kind of funny.
Some of the stuff I've over heard:
"I don't understand why poor people (aka middle class people from Ohio) constantly vote republican".
"It's all these backwards people deciding what is best for us (from a non citizen, BTW)"
"Looks like you got your way, the evil man won (from another non citizen)"
"We would have won but those redneck states keep voting for Bush"
"I think the electoral process could stand to be changed"
"I can't wait for the deficit to hit 1 trillion dollars"

How do they reconcile either of these statements with the fact that Bush won 51% of the popular vote? They are in denial.

Just last week a Demo Rat said to me, "all the brightest people in this country live in the Northeast or on the West Coast". The Demos are so smart they are shrinking their party down to a few states, where the "intellectuals" live. Duh.

I own a creative agency and there was only one person besides me on the side of Bush. One of Kerry-ites had a sign covering up an entire wall of his office. They're quite bummed.... And I feel their pain. heee hee hee

Moon pies with milk, but not beer. Grits are ok, tea is sweet, of course, and #24 is gay (but a damn good driver), the #8 is OK, but lately Carl Edwards is kickin a$$. Ricky Rudd is cool, and Petty is and always will be the king. I helped out Geoff Bodine and Ronny Bouchard ('83 {i think}Talledega winner) when I was a kid and they were driving modifieds.
Did I mention my dog is named AJ after the best dirt track USAC sprint driver of all time? (Oh, btw, he drove fairly well at indy)
Do I qualify now?

I like lobster, and it eats s4it it's whole life. Catfish fried up right is real good. I do need lots of salt on it though, preferably with a beer or 2 or 3 or 4.

"Take a look at the breakdown between educated (states with Ivy Leaque schools Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Duke, Cornell, USC, etc, top ranked public schools, well traveled people, San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, Chicago, Boston, etc) and uneducated hicks (Utah, Idaho) etc. It's clear that the stupid voted for Bush. Your postings support this analysis."
And this would explain the the lock step, uneducated Union support that every Democrat receives?

"I don't understand why poor people (aka middle class people from Ohio) constantly vote republican".
We're not poor, just middle class. Maybe they should come for a visit and find out what makes us they way we are. The things we value, our children, our families, our freedom. I live in Hilliard (the west side of Columbus). I can get in my car, drive fifteen minutes and be in the center of Columbus, enjoy all the trappings of urbania. I can walk out my back door and in ten minutes, I am standing in the middle of a corn field. I can drive 50 mile to the south and enjoy a full day of mountainbiking. I can drive two hours to the north and enjoy a week's vacation on Lake Erie. The best part of all of this is that, I can do all of this with my wife and daughter and feel safe and welcomed when I do any of it. It's not about the money. The money is nice and it can get you lots of stuff. But, as they say, it can't buy you love. My family, friends neighbors and community, I love them all.
We vote to protect what we love!

What a wonderful morning. I walked into my liberal office today, saying, "Ya know, the sun is brighter, the air is fresher, and even gravity seems lighter as I walk."
