I swear, I am the only person here who voted for Bush, at least in my department. It is actually kind of funny.
Some of the stuff I've over heard:
"I don't understand why poor people (aka middle class people from Ohio) constantly vote republican".
"It's all these backwards people deciding what is best for us (from a non citizen, BTW)"
"Looks like you got your way, the evil man won (from another non citizen)"
"We would have won but those redneck states keep voting for Bush"
"I think the electoral process could stand to be changed"
"I can't wait for the deficit to hit 1 trillion dollars"
I could help but blurt out to the TV "I see a lot of red up there" in mock frustration.
One Harvardy type guy thought I was serious he turned to me and said, "we need the neo-cons out end this isolationism".
I hear ya buddy... loud and clear.
Such big babies about this. Honestly, they can only blame themselves because they are a minority in this country.
I'm in entertainment and I've heard: "4 more years of oppression"
Nice.
Kudos for you for living right in the middle of them. Just walk around ALL day with a stupid grin on your face!!!!
He even steals Bush' "God bless America" line at end.
What an obnoxious, egotistical, and thank-God! (and Karl Rove!) non-President p-o-s!
"I don't understand why poor people (aka middle class people from Ohio) constantly vote republican". Because we aren't fools.
"It's all these backwards people deciding what is best for us (from a non citizen, BTW)" This coming from a foreigner?
"Looks like you got your way, the evil man won (from another non citizen)" Yes, now go back from whence you came.
"We would have won but those redneck states keep voting for Bush" And lets all thank god for that now shall we?
"I think the electoral process could stand to be changed" Really? Because we won the popular vote too ya know.
"I can't wait for the deficit to hit 1 trillion dollars" Now that's a constructive little leftist.
"I think the electoral process could stand to be changed"
That's the funniest one! Are they aware of the over 3 million popular vote margin President Bush has?
Oh and tell everyone at your work - I, raivyn, am redneck and d*mn proud of it!
Take a look at the breakdown between educated (states with Ivy Leaque schools Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Duke, Cornell, USC, etc, top ranked public schools, well traveled people, San Francisco, Seattle, New York City, Chicago, Boston, etc) and uneducated hicks (Utah, Idaho) etc. It's clear that the stupid voted for Bush. Your postings support this analysis.
Looks like Big Pork Project II has been cancelled indefinately ; )
"I can't wait for the deficit to hit 1 trillion dollars"
hahaha... Someone on DU is praying for another 'Great Depression'. Nice folks.
I am beginning to see the the Yankee Urban Bigots (YUBs) consider a redneck someone who-
a. Loves this country
b. Loves their family
c. Loves god or at least believes in some moral code.
d. Works hard and doesn't blame the government for their problems
e. Doesn't give a rats patootie what they think.
Cool :)
Well, I believe in Jesus, my Second Amendment rights and working for a living, so I figure I'm halfway there. Problem is, I was born and raised in NYC.
I'm a New Englander who's all that and a gun owner. Do I get to be an honorary redneck?
I work at a NYC ad agency. Had the concession video on my computer. People gathered around to say "isn't it sad?"
Uh.....nope.
The person who said that is a very intelligent kid, he thinks the electoral votes should be proportioned based on the statewide vote. that being the case, Bush would have won bigger, i'd think.
Kerry only got 55% of Massachusetts.
You might listen to the looped archive of today's Dennis Prager show.
He had a call from a Hollywood conservative who described the gloom at his office
