I'll lay odds that Rudy ends up in the Cabinet this January.
Hillary! will be junior senator forever. She will never win a national office.
Say what you will. I like Rudy, warts and all, and he is very electable to the rest of the country.
I agree that Rudy will end up in the cabinet. I also agree that a lot of the country likes him, making him quite electable. However, first he must win the Republican nomination. I can't think of a single southern or western state won by Bush yesterday that would vote for a gun grabbing abortionist like Rudy to be the Party's nominee - to the contrary, he would attract and motivate the opposed to him to work and contribute to his defeat (among whom would be yours truly, 100% related to the gun issue).
Rudy is a very sincere, likable guy, a very capable administrator and very, very right on a few issues (mainly Homeland Security). He'd be good heading the DHS, but no more. He's to the left of the Rockefeller wing of the Party and, like Lieberman in the Democratic Party, he won't ever succeed in getting the nomination.
