It is with profound relief and gratitude to all the volunteers, voters, the Swift Vets for Truth, campaign staff, etc., that I type up today's edition of A Day in the Life of the Re-elected President Bush.
As we now know, Bush received more votes than any previous US president, America saw a record voter turnout, and the US Congress picked up votes to increase the GOP margin in both Houses. Mandate? YES!
Stocks surged Wednesday, with the Dow Jones industrials posting a triple-digit gain moments after the opening bell, as investors expressed relief following the election and victory for President Bush.
Some international reaction: Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday said an election victory by President Bush would strengthen the United States and benefit their countries.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island!!!!! We have successfully defended our beaches and borders, and our Coast Guard is commissioned to maintain its patrols for Four More Years!
Yeah, mountaingirl..........where IS that fan of yours?!
Thanks for the awesome pics, Gretchen! Bookmark for later to show my dad.
Ditto, mountaingirl!
Sounds good! I'm up for it! :-D
Mupcat, it's like Gretchen describes. Someone called it the Florida Gator clap.
You know, like the jaws of a gator.
I cannot thank you guys enough for all the work you did to bring out our voters in Ohio!!!
I hope you both get to attend the Inauguration!

Good work.
I'm ashamed about my county, Montgomery - Dayton. 50% sKerry - 49% President Bush. That hurts.
Her cousin, as was pointed out in an earlier post. Definitely not a boy friend.
I thought all of you, but especially Ohio Freepers, would like this snip from Howard Fineman's article in Newsweek. Mr. Fineman drives me nuts with his metrosexual wishy washiness, but even HE can no longer deny what he saw in the faces and hearts of Bush's supporters. He writes:
In the end, the focus was where Rove had planned it to be all alongin Ohio. As the lengthy campaign neared a close, BC04 staged a huge rally in a hockey arena in Columbus. The roar was deafening23,000 screaming fans/voters---but what rallied the president, his advisers said later, was the look in the eyes of the faithful: an intensity he didn't see in 2000...There it is! President Bush SAW it and drew strength from it---the love his supporters express every night in these threads.
It warms my heart to know Mr. Fineman saw it and understands what the libs are up against. Boy, if he only knew about the Daily Dose!
"She said the girls were urging her to get a different hair style, so she had obliged. (I didn't see any difference.)"
No, I didn't see her on the latest Leno show, but I did see her last Saturday at a rally in Tinker Field in Orlando. Her hair looked the same to me too. Talking about a new hair do may have been an example of her humor. :-)
Thank you thank you Ohio friend! and wasn't it sweeeet when he singled out Texas for giving him his start? Now let me spotlight Ohio for what great thing has come upon this nation.
I read a column by Dick Morris, I know I know, but he is a pollster in that he constantly polled for the Clintons, who based everything on polls. Did you see it? He is convinced that the exit polls were deliberately cooked, not accidentally as was assumed. It was part of a plot to distort the process and fool Bush voters into giving up before voting, plus energize Kerry voters to the max in their voting & fraud efforts.
And the blogs caught it first that states were going for Bush in the raw vote in a completely contradictory way to the exit poll results. Then Bill Crystal was the first to say on-air that something was wrong with the exit polls.
I agree that FOX is a gigantic disappointment in that they fell hook-line-and-sinker for the flawed data. I have looked at what that data was telling them, and I as a semi-amateur(as opposed to a rank amateur) would not have fallen for what those polls showed. But FOX was mentally preparing themselves and us for a President Kerry, based on those obviously idiotic numbers. I am more appalled by the herd mentality and lack of professional judgement than anything else. Michael Barone would have screamed bloody murder with one glance at the data, as would Morris or almost anyone of their ilk. But no, FOX bought into it and proceeded to dupe the public with a horrible scheme that someone else had masterminded. Very scary.
Our glorious Republic seems to be hanging on a knife-edged precipice, Ohio. Do you get that feeling? Only, a Higher Power seems to be in ultimate control of what actually comes of it all.
BTW, when I saw the pic of them smooching, first posted by Gretchen and pinged to you, I KNEW WITHOUT A DOUBT YOU WOULD SOON APPEAR. Had to leave the Dose and return many hours later before catching your posts, but I knew right where to look for them - just after that beautifully enticing photo of this incredible couple!
:o)
You continue to post these, I'll continue to visit each and every day, dear! The election is never over; and these threads present the view of our administration that simply does not appear on the MSM.
What's a Kerry? :^P

Did he really say "OK, now prepare yourself" and "Ok, seriously, get ready"? Haahaaa!!
