It is with profound relief and gratitude to all the volunteers, voters, the Swift Vets for Truth, campaign staff, etc., that I type up today's edition of A Day in the Life of the Re-elected President Bush.
As we now know, Bush received more votes than any previous US president, America saw a record voter turnout, and the US Congress picked up votes to increase the GOP margin in both Houses. Mandate? YES!
Stocks surged Wednesday, with the Dow Jones industrials posting a triple-digit gain moments after the opening bell, as investors expressed relief following the election and victory for President Bush.
Some international reaction: Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday said an election victory by President Bush would strengthen the United States and benefit their countries.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island!!!!! We have successfully defended our beaches and borders, and our Coast Guard is commissioned to maintain its patrols for Four More Years!
Ohio is beautiful.
Tonk, I know you worked hard for this day! Celebrate like crazy, cause you deserve it!!!!!!
Our beautiful Laura! The lady in Pink! And I do mean LADY!
I haven't heard one single newsie address it this time around, but I firmly believe that the reason the vote margins were so stinking close in some states in 2000 was due to voter fraud, and that without the American people (GOD BLESS OUR FELLOW CITIZENS WHO THREW THEIR HEARTS, SOULS, AND BODIES INTO THIS) working to expose and root out and nullify voter fraud in 2004, this election could very easily have gone to you know whose side.
Congrats to all W supporters.
If Colin Powell decides to retire, I think Condi is a shoo-in for Secretary of State. In addition, I think Don Rumsfeld may retire just because he is in his mid 70's. I think Tom Ridge may want to run for President in '08, but he would make a good Secretary of Defense. I'm already looking forward to seeing how the new administration will take shape.
Naaaah, Condi's not happy, is she? :-D
Liberals just don't seem to get it that it's about more than just the economy or even terrorism.......but we care deeply about moral issues as well!
Sometime in last night's coverage, a reporter explained the delay at the polls in Ohio was all the Republicans who flocked in to vote. During a dark day where all we heard were bogus exit polls, you acted, and stood with President Bush. We're forever in your debt. Thanks to all the FReeper volunteers and voters for returning this good man to office.
Fabulous photos, historic election,
and God Bless America.
Exhausted but happy.
FOUR MORE YEARS!
Tears of joy rolling down my face as I look at the tears of joy from Rummy and Condi!
It's hard to find the keyboard through the tears... We "Love Ya Dubya"!!! God bless our president.
Senior adviser ["the Architect"] Karl Rove, right and Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham attend a election victory rally for President Bush Wednesday
A little off topic, but has anyone else noticed that when our great First Lady waves with her right hand, her pinky finger is always bent? I noticed this in a pic the other day as well and was wondering if there is something amiss with the pinky. Sorry for the off topic post.
Thanks, Gretchen!!
Doesn't Laura just get more beautiful by the DAY? Wow.
