Nancy Pelosi - A Truely Nasty Piece Of Work!
11/04/04 | Tacis

C-SPAN, last night, carried Nacy Pelosi's press conference in which she and Bob Matsui did the House Minority post-mortem on Tuesday's election. She is hard to watch/listen to but there is something compelling; it's like watching a snake.

She didn't learn a thing! Not that you'd really expect a stupid left-winger like that to learn anything, but it is still startling to realize that her post-election speech was probably exactly the same as her pre-election speech!

She claimed victory for a number of items including "knocking off" the most senior Republican Congressman (I didn't know that), said that Republican victories in Texas were illegal and would be fixed by the courts and very affirmatively denigrated Republican accomplishments and emphasized her eagerness to get involved in the 2006 "cycle."

But, she acted as though nothing had changed. She mouthed the same litany of vague claims attacking Bush that most of the electorate had just rejected. She whined about hoping for more bipartisanship like there used to be when the dems controlled the House, took a bunch of cheap shots at Tom De Lay and spoke like nothing had happened.

Pelosi is an ultra-left winger from San Francisco and has all those San Fran affectations that the pseudo-elitists/hipsters (if that is still a word) from there exhibit. She has absolutely no hint that most of the country has rejected her and all her silly, arrogant pretenses of superiority. Her demands are the same old tired list of things they've always fabricated and she presents them as though she represented an equal and that the items on her list deserved consideration. She has learned NOTHING!!

If there are claims of lack of bipartisanship, of friction between the good guys and the scumbags, much of the blame can be found in the person of House MInority Leader Nancy Pelosi!! She is not a leader, she is a dis-unifier, a nasty bitch with no concept of what is happening in this country.

When your liberal friends complain anout the absence of unity in government and the lack of bipartisanship, suggest they watch Pelosi. She is a nasty piece of work who seems far more interested in forcing the Republicans to understand that her San Francisco perspective is correct and must prevail than she does about accomplishing legislative objectives.

If the dems are REALLY interested in regaining some stature and trust, they would do well to replace Pelosi with some one not oblivious to the world east of the coast line.

Good. I hope they keep her in the leadership. Look how well she and the others have grounded themselves upon the rocks and we sailed past. Let them remain ignorant in the waters of ideas, as we sail in the sunshine.

I think this is great! This means the Democrats still don't get it. This means the Democrat Party will continue to lose power and continue to die. They are imploding. This is what I predicted. This Party is the Party of taking no responsibility and blaming others. They will keep blaming Repubicans and probably look crazier than they did during this election cycle. It will definitely be getting funnier.

She is truly nasty-- didn't she wear a hot pink suit at Regean's memorial in the rotunda?

Anyhow, Botox does kill brain cells.

Oh really? Hey, Nancy: In case no one ever told you, it's not nice to mess with Texas.

She was awful on NPR yesterday afternoon. Particularly the references to faith. Then again, if she keeps up the shrillness, it certainly demonstrates the direction that Dems might take in 2006 and 2008.

Is it me, or is there not a strong resemblance between Pelosi and Gloria Alred?

There seems to be a frame of mind they both share that disengages critical thought and puts their mouths into over-drive.

Pelosi should be made into the posterperson of what is wrong with the Democratic party.

I say hurray Pelosi. As long as she and the others of her ilk remain in a position of power, the Dems will keep losing ground nationally. So go Nancy go!

If Daschle was said to be worth 3 Senators, then Pelosi is worth negative 10 Congressmen.

Just heard Arlen Spector on Fox news commanding Bush that he not send some anti-abortion conservative Justice up to replace Rhenquist. Sure glad to hear Arlen is reaching out to these poor Dems.

You hit the nail on the head. The thing is, since they don't understand why they lost, it will never happen.
