Mike Barnicle: Report from the Boston Echo Chamber
WTKK Boston ^ | 11/4/2004 | PTM

Posted on 11/04/2004 8:22:24 AM PST by PajamaTruthMafia

Good news from the Boston echo chamber. I'm listening to Mike Barnicle on WTKK in Boston. In short, the liberals still don't get it. Not even close. They simply think the rest of the country has gone temporarily insane and that the pendulum will swing back their way soon enough.

The liberal, open-minded, diversity loving callers and hosts are basically disparaging the rest of the country as "simple minded" Southerners, intolerant Christian "Zealots" and racist homophobes (of coarse, they say it in clever ways but the message is clear.) How ironic!

Callers with a contrary opinion are being dismissed as "pro life nuts" trying to impose their beliefs on others. Again, how ironic!

These people are completely out of touch with the majority of America and they are in complete denial. The Democrats and the liberals in the media are just reinforcing their own self delusions. If this is any indication of what Democrats everywhere are thinking and feeling it should guarantee Republican control of this country for generations to come. So my fellow Freepers, rejoice, they just don't get it.

We need to keep a few liberals around, so we never forget how bad it could have been...

After 2000 and 2002 we heard from the liberals that they didn't 'get their message out', and that's why they lost.

Well, I'm hearing the message now. They think I'm a racist, stupid, intolerant, insignificant Jesus freak. Now tell me...how is that going to make me start voting for them? Rule one in business...don't insult your target audience.

These clowns STILL don't get it, and it is absolutely hilarious to me.

Al Sharpton is quoted as opining that the reason they lost is because they had drifted too far to the middle, and what they needed to do was swing far to the liberal/progressive end of the spectrum.

I hope they never figure this out.

People knew, years ago, in the Boston State House, that Mike Barnicle was the most creative columnists at "The Boston Globe". The people he wrote about always seemed to be exquisite examples of whatever point he was struggling to make in his column. That's because many of those "people", apparently, were either composites or flat out figments of his verdant imagination.

Mr. Barnicle is also a superb whiner. One of the best.

perhaps Bush should reach out to those Kerry supporters who abandoned Bush because they were convinced that Bush was not strong enough on terrorism - but he should spit on those Kerry voters who look at Bush as a liar or a manipulator or a traitor or as any other kind of boogie-man.

Bush should spit on Ted (hic...) Kennedy
Fat-ass Michael Moore
Jack-ass Jesse Jackson
That sorry ass Sorros
Julian (NAACP) Bond

Bush should piss on all of these "F"-ers

Well ... another take here ... Mike wet his finger, tested the wind ... and does what he does.

He SPINS ... if KetchUp Kerry had won ... for those good people outside of Route 128 ... Mike could very well be calling them what he really thinks (excepting Fitchburg, MA of course) ... LUMMOX!

Ironic isn't it Carling? They think they are going to humiliate you into voting for them. I guess that's their plan. Or, maybe they are hoping they can continue to indoctrinate the rest of the country through their control of the media. One thing's for sure, they won't be praying for you to become "enlightened." Payer in their opinion, is for the simple minded zealot rednecks.

I refuse to listen to Barnicle. Caught him lifting a another column a few months ago concerning the wounded Troop from Brockton. He essentially took a front page story from the Brockton Enterprise and made it the subject of one of his columns. Barnicle has always been a BSer, and at least on occasion a proven plagiarist.

The general take by the liberal media which I am discerning is that the Republicans are swaying extreme right, while the left is holding the center. They are simply delusional.

The DNC is a big institution. We began killing it in '94, I suspect the slow death will continue for another 8-10 years before it is completely marginalized.
