Holdup suspects open fire on police

PLANO; Police were searching for three heavily armed men who fled the scene of a bank robbery in Richardson Thursday morning and fired several shots at pursuing officers.
At least three police cars became targets for the gunmen in the minutes following the bold holdup at the American First National Bank at 400 N. Greenville Ave. just one block away from Richardson police headquarters.

Pretty tense over here in Richardson. Helicopters are still looking for these guys, they keep flying over my workplace. I'll have to be sure and check my car before I leave work today.

Police established a command post to coordinate search efforts, focused on an area bordered by Shiloh Road, Los Rios Boulevard, Plano Parkway and 14th Street in East Plano.
Investigators said they were looking for three men carrying automatic weapons and one high-powered rifle. They were last seen driving a gold or champagne color 1989 Mazda 626 with faded paint on the hood and the left front hubcap missing.

Sounds like it's on the east side of Plano. I live on the west, but they're still on the loose, armed and dangerous. I'll be glad when they're caught.
