Hi everyone,
Hope you don't mind a little pro-life perspective to help get a fillibuster-proof margin in the Senate. Hopefully you all realize that a big factor in Bush's reelection is his pro-life stance. Looking at the Senators up for reelection in 2006, the following dems appear to be vulnerable based on their state's pro-life views and their own record:
-Byrd, WV 36% pro-life voting record
-Conrad, ND 55% pro-life voting record
-Dayton, MN 10% pro-life voting record
-Kohl, WI 0% pro-life voting record
-Nelson, FL 0% pro-life voting record
-Stabenow, MI 0% pro-life voting record
All except for Nelson in NE with a 91% pro-life voting record, the other states' dems have lousy records, too, but those states do not seem to have strong pro-life voting blocks. (HI, WA, DE, NY, CA, MA, MD,and CT). The only republican that could possibly be in trouble because of his pro-life record is Santorum, but I doubt it since Pennsylvania really is a pretty pro-life state.
What we need are strong pro-life candidates (but probably not quite as radical as OK's new senator) in the 6 states I mentioned above and I bet, on the pro-life issue alone, the republicans will pick up 50% of them.
I'm a wealth of pro-life info if I you need any. I'm not much help with any other political issues, though. I am one of the thousands of pro-life Catholics who have officially left the democratic party because they've been bought by the pro-abortion folks. I'll help elect any pro-life Senators that I can.
