Count me in as well...I work as a physicist...We have our foot on their throats...squeeze.
Ensign says he will not run for gov. of NV. That said if he did I am sure he would win and in 6 years he would make a great cantidate for P or VP.
Herb Kohl will be facing one of the Wis. GOP young guns in 2006.
Whoever doesn't run against "Craps" Doyle for governor will take on the dairy queen.
I had thought there was a chance that Kennedy would retire in defeat and shame. But on reconsideration, you're right, Kennedy has no shame (Kopechne).
The list is great, but all the demons listed are in 'benefits-oriented' states and as long their constituents have late polls and provisional balloting, along with hand-outs from uncle sugar, the senators will be re-elected. Dead people vote too!
"I think the Dems are going to be gunning for Frist. "
I agree. However, my comments re Hatch are because REPUBs should get Hatch out by means of a good primary challenge.
Utah is safe for REPUB...probably the most solid of any state.
What was the name of the Republican Senate candidate in ND this year, and by how many votes did he lose to Byron Dorgan?
Can you freaking IMAGINE a US Senate race in Massachusetts in which the 62/37 majority party didn't win? Didn't even run a competitive race?
Something is seriously wrong with the Senate strategy.
There were several lib Dem congressmen in Massachusetts lined up to run for Kerry's Senate seat (they assumed he would win the Presidency) - Barney Frank, Marty Meehan; Steven Lynch even scheduled his campaign kickoff for Saturday!
I think they will put heavy pressure on Ted The Swimmer to retire. The Kennedy wing of the Dem party is officially dead. Ted's no longer a center of power, since his candidate boy Kerry lost. The ambitious congressmen in Massachusetts must align themselves with the power center of the DNC now, and to do that they must get rid of Ted.
Absolutely. Ca went 45% GOP this time. Feinstein (disarm all the people) is ripe and we should work hard to pick up her seat in the senate. I heard some of the dims claiming they still have enough to filibuster the senate. They still don't get it. Let's do something about that.
DONATE! These guys did a great job in 2002 and 2004 as I recall! :)
What about the AG, Mike Cox? I have seen him speak twice, before Bush rallies. He is impressive.
Texas will stay Republican but Hutchison will not run again.
We can thank the National Republican Senatorial Committee
Now that would be a real kamikazi action.
Right, when pigs fly.
Any potentials out there for running against him.
As Jeffords is an Independent, there may be 3 candidates - Rep., Dem., and Jeffords. The Liberals might split the vote between Jeffords and the Dem., giving the election to the Republican!
He'd be an excellent choice too, but I'm wondering if he wouldn't be better to challenge Granholm for Governor.
I'd love to see Byrd gone, but He's a god in WV... He'll leave the senate when he is ready... not one minute before.
Good work Josh. This is quite useful. And important, that we keep the good feeling and momentum as we focus on the next important task at hand.
Hey a man can dream, can't he? Whoever thought we'd be coming out of this election the way we have?
