This liberal bitch just really pi$$es me off. Some days I am glad I live more than 2 hours from Parliment Hill in Ottawa because I just lost it when I read this piece earlier this morning.

Please do not take the utterances of our MSM anymore seriously then yours. Our media is way worse then yours.Especially CBC, because they don't even have to worry about being competitive, the government will keep them in business no matter what they say. They do not speak for the average canadian, they are actually despised by the canadian public as ratings show

Carolyn Parrish said Wednesday that she's "dumbfounded" by Bush's victory. "He has been reconfirmed as their commander-in-chief, and he is a war-like man." American voters showed that they are "completely out of step with most of the free world," Parrish said. "I guess it's a reflection of the profound psychological damage of 9-11."

These comments are very insulting to all Americans. This woman has a serious hatred of America. Yeah, you dumb Americans, forget about that defense shield. I'm beginning to see a common thread among the left. They feel they are the the moral and intellectual superiors of anyone and everyone who leans towards the right, therefore they are dismayed, angry and in shock when so many people ignore them and their rantings. The truth is she doesn't know what "the rest of the world" thinks. She only knows what their media says they think. And we all know the gap that exists between most Americans and our own media.

When you spend more money confiscating your citizens firearms than you do on national defense, I'd strongly suggest you sit down and Shut your F.... Mouth.

Oh I'm a Canadian but that is priceless, that is funny,
I never thought of it like that

the gun registry is the silliest fiasco ever.......makes voting in Florida look sane

my cousin's husband is a helicopter instructor in the Canadian army, he just came back from Bosnia, he is no fool, he will not fly in a Sea King or a few other shitty and dangerous helicopters employed by the Canadian military, the Sea King being a joke that isn't even funny.......he said he'd face court maritial first......

however he is retiring and this is a big problem the Canadian army is going to have, on top of numerous others, he joined when there was a big recruitment run in the early 1980's, under a Conservative government mostly, before the cold war was declared over.....

all these guys, the most experienced officers, instructors and mechanics (and with shitty equipment those mechanics are miracle workers) are coming up to what is called their first pension level, which is they are hitting the age of 40 and these guys are going to retire en masse, because they are tired of the poor pay, lack of equipment, lack of respect......plus all these guys, like my cousin's husband and the mechanics can make way more money with their skills in the private sector

This is like being lectured on economics by someone I am letting live free of charge in my converted garage because they can't afford to buy/rent their own home. What was the Mark Twain quote about the difference between a dog and a human being...something about one not biting you because it's grateful to you for protecting and feeding it.

Somebody needs to swat Carolyn on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper so she'll stop yapping.

Another example of our incredible stupid media. One of the most popular sports announcer in Canada,Don Cherry(equivalent maybe of John Madden, but for hockey). He phoned a Boston radio station at the start of the Iraq war to say that he was embarassed by the canadian gov. decision to not participate. He said that it did not represent the majority of canadians' opinion.Well all hell broke loose the CRTC and the CBC went nuts, they reprimanded him and tried to suspend him but he is so popular they could not do it.

Again to all FR, do not take the utterances of Parrish as a reflection of true canadian sentiment.Plus our MSM is even worse then yours, it is actually government sponsored. The CRTC,(communication commission) actually ruled that we couldn't get FOX news because it was contrary to Canadian values but it granted permission for cable co's to air AL JAZEERA. Can you guys please come and invade???

I know the US media loves goof-balls who make outrageous comments. Apparently so does the Candian media. They made people like Al Sharpton. (He's a foolish demagogue from New York who was running for US President!.) The problem is the people who read this constantly begin to think like the goof-balls.

Don't worry. Parrish isn't so bad. In Georgia, we have Cynthia McKinney and in Washington there is Patty Murray. While they can't make Ms. Parrish look sane, they easily equal her in moronic statements and anti-Americanism.

Yep. Just like Winston Churchill was "out of step with the world" in 1940.

Listen Jacka##, America has always been "out of step with most of the world" and you Canadians more than anyone else should thank the Lord for that.

Would love to see a Steyn reply to MS. Parrish. LOL

just emailed this note to Ms. Parrish and for those who'd like to do the same you can click on the following link:

http://www.carolynparrish.parl.gc.ca/comments.asp?lang=en

Dear Ms. Parrish,

Nothing gives me and many of the 59,291,175 voters who re-elected George Bush greater pleasure than being out of step with you and your whiny, liberal compatriots north of the border (and that is not meant as an insult to most Canadians who we know have more common sense). It apparently has not occurred to you that when we go to the voting booth to choose our president we put the best interests of our country and its citizens ahead of the interests of terrorist appeasers such as yourself and citizens of other countries. In fact, I'd go so far to say that many of us view a vote for GWB in the face of "70% international support for John Kerry" as a badge of honor. Why would we care after all what percentage of non-Americans support either candidate?

We are dumbfounded by your elitist, intellectual "superiority" but I wish you luck in your future political career (seems you will need it). I suggest you mind your own business next time around and stick to commenting on Canadian elections as I can't remember the last time we Americans meddled in one of your elections. And by the way, I'm sure the likes of George Soros and Michael Moore were very heartened by your comments. Perhaps you could invite them to live in your guest house for the next four years and expedite their visa applications which are sure to arrive shortly.

Yours in democracy.

OK, but you guys better refer to us as liberators, not occupiers, or we're sending ol' Zell up there to administer some beatings.

Parrish is considered a complete fool up here in normal Canada

Don't fret it too much. After all, we have our own yoyos, like McKinney and Lee. The price of representative democracy is that the idiots get represented too.
