OK, there has been some anxiety regarding what happen to NM. I looked at NM state website, and made a comparison between their numbers with Media's number (CNN, C-Span, Yahoo) based on the county reports.
My impression after looking at the report posted at 7:47pm at the State website is that the state website a bit behind in updating the figures. Many counties that have 100% precinct reported, are stil listed as less than that in the state website.
Here are the breakdown by county that didn't have 100% reported yet:
Chaves, 51 reported out of 52 precincts, Bush got 68% with 14,748 votes
Cibola, 19/20, Kerry (56%) with 2,778 votes
*Eddy, 28/42, Bush (65%) with 11,125
Lea, 43/44, Bush (78%) with 13,162 votes
*McKinley, 35/42, Kerry (70%) with 7,729 votes
Otero, 44/45, Bush (67%) with 13,935 votes
Roosevelt, 21/22, Bush (70%) with 4,954 votes
San Juan, 72/73, Bush (65%) with 29,140 votes
Sandoval, 64/65, Bush (51%) with 22,482 votes
Sierra, 9/10, Bush (65%), with 2,390 votes
Valencia, 36/37, Bush (55%), with 14,355 votes
Those with (*) sign are the ones where the discrepancy in precincts reported between NM state website and CNN are quite big. CNN report has bigger numbers.
Could you post the links for the numbers?
what ever happened in Iowa?
So, can you executive summarize this? Did Bush lose NM?

GEORGE W. BUSH and DICK CHENEY Republican 362951 49.9%
PMSNBC's map shows both NM and Iowa bright, shining red!
Jet Jaguar's link says that Bush won.
Yes. Looking at the numbers at CNN, etc., which are more updated, it's clear that Bush won. Even from the numbers above we can see that many precincts that they didn't report before are Bush's precincts.
When I drove through New Mexico on the way to the east coast, I stopped off at a Target store in Carlsbad or someplace, and was stopped in my tracks by a pleasant and unfamiliar smell. I followed my nose, and saw a long line of people in the parking lot with bags of chili peppers, waiting to have them flame-roasted from a guy with a propane-fired roaster cart kind of thing. Very cool.
Why isn't Bill Richardson's Magic Suitcase listed as a county? I hear it's a Democratic stronghold.
New Mexico ping ...

New Mexico.
It's Damn Special.

what about Wisconsin and NH......I now MSNBC still has it outstanding.
I'm pleased to hear it. The information at the link wasn't clear to me what the actual current totals were and whether the count included absentees and/or provisionals - thanks for the clarification.
