this was a major effort to disrupt the GOTV and poll watching efforts of the GOP. there were many watchers expecting a ride to and from the polls [I was a runner and dropped off a gal at 12:30 am] as well as getting voters to the polls.

they put out the call for volunteers with vans and SUVs to help, which many did. but it certainly delayed our efforts.

local radio is talking federal charges due to the value of the damage [$4000], civil rights issues, etc. sounds like a hate crime to me. should go to the US Attorney.

please add appropriate keywords.

This is outrageous, but doesn't the BC04 campaign bear some responsibility here? What idiots part 20 rental vans in a bad(?) neighborhood next to the GOP HQ the night before the election? Couldn't the first driver assigned to each van take the van home for the night?

Who want's to bet me that McCann does nothing about this and the RNC won't pursue it either?

I'm being hypercritical here because I saw the same sort of stupidity happen at my local BC04 office and nobody wanted to take the effort to use a little common sense (such as providing a disposable camera in case of trouble, or having a meeting with the local police chief to ask that the regular patrol take an extra look at the office over night.)

Some of the arrogant children sent in to manage things don't seem to have the common sense God gave 'em.

(Hope I didn't step on any toes here; I'm just frustrated at some of the dumb decisions I saw over the past couple of months.)
