Not since Moby Dick has a great white whale been so bloodily harpooned. It took a shocked Michael Moore, director of Fahrenheit 9/11, until yesterday to comment on the US election result. When he did, he made a lame joke, offering "reasons not to slit your own throat". But if John Kerry's strategists feel like slitting anyone's throat right now, it is Mr Moore's.
This was supposed to be the victory that the podgy sage of Flint, Michigan, delivered for the Democrats by winding up students into paroxysms of anti-Bush rage and propelling them into the polling booths. In the event, he achieved the first but not the second objective. The proportion of young voters did not increase on Tuesday. In the gleeful words of one anti-Moore website, "pot-smoking slackers are still pot-smoking slackers": they meant to vote Kerry but, like, couldn't get out of bed in time.
In 2000, Mr Moore's support for Ralph Nader helped lose Florida for Al Gore. This time, he boosted President Bush by outraging Middle America. Take a bow, Mike: you've done it again.
I find this article to be senselessly cruel, to whales. Whales are beautiful, graceful creatures that fulfill a vital role on the earth. Moore is a repulsive puss bag bent on destroying a culture that is disgusted by the sight of him.

So, like, it took more than 7-1/2 minutes for Michael to collect his thoughts and react to an election? Someone should make a documentary about that.
Moore is an opportunist first, obnoxious, fat, dirty, slob, second.
Over the next four years, he'll get even more obnoxious, fatter, dirtier and more slovenly than now, and the weak minded will follow and adulate and quote as fact any utterance to spew from his grease-coated pie-hole. But behind their back, he ridicules them as he gets his only cleansing from the money-baths he takes rolling in the cash he suckered out of these gullible saps.

I've been waiting for a thread on Moore! I wanted to post a vanity on his next project, but figured I wouldn't waste the band-width.
The cretinous, limaceous (look it up, it's a great word), Jabba the Hutt is already hard at work on his next project: trashing the medical industry--doctors, insurance companies, HMOs and pharmaceutical companies. In particular, he has a you-know-what for Pfizer (my company). He has offered physicians $50,000 if they will put a video camera in their sample closets; $10,000 if they will allow a Moore minion to "shadow" a doctor for a day; $5,000 to any sales rep who will grant an interview. As if!! He won't be happy until you can't find a doctor, but it won't matter because he won't be able to prescribe any meds, anyway. Then, he'll whine because no pharma company will do AIDS research....I hope to hell a doctor one day has the chance to refuse him treatment.

You forgot to mention that he is bent on destroying the culture that gives him the freedom to make obscene amounts of wealth without producing anything of tangible value. Where else on Earth can these people get paid so much for doing so little? Or have so much time to devote to hate and distortion?

I think he cemented in many people's minds that the Dems cannot be trusted because they are not objective and do not use actual facts when they make their decisions. They live off bogus statistics, bogus cut and paste film clips, bogus conspiracies and bogus public policy theories.
Anyone know Moore's email? All of us should send him a thanks. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, would hurt him moore than to be told several thousand times over, that he cost the Dems the election.
Michael Moore is the best thing that ever happened to the Republican Party. We should all send him a case of donuts!
When you look past all of the words and accusations tossed about, the kids took moore and the rest of leftywood for a ride. The kids went to the concerts and movies but stayed away from the polls.
