For heavens sake go to Concerned Women of America and listen to this clip about Specter and an explanation of the power that a chairman has over these nominations. If this man gets chairmanship for the next six years we will not get any decent judges.It's now or never. When you get there click on the new link about Judical roadblocks . Give it time to play. Thanks for the link, I listened to the audio. Great information and insight. The GOP Senate member of the Judiciary Committee meet on Wednesday, November 17. They will have an open vote on who will be Chair. This guy thought we would have better luck approaching some of the junior members to oppose Specter. But he thought since it is an open vote, they might be intimidated by Specter. We have to find one Senator that is is up to Challenge Specter.

Sometime (need to find out when) after all the committees have voted on their Chairman, all the GOP Senators get together and vote up or down on each Chairman. This is a closed vote.

Right now we need to concentrate on contacting the present members of the Judiciary (most of them will retain their membership, plus one of two new members will be added). They vote on this in 11 days! But keep in mind, eventially ALL GOP SENATORS get to vote on the Chairman. So keep the pressure on them too.
